An Ohio crowd booed Vivek Ramaswamy off a Cincinnati stage on July 29, 2026. X user @factpostnews shared the resurfaced clip of the candidate. Ramaswamy is a biotech billionaire who founded Roivant Sciences and is Ohio’s Republican nominee for governor. He ran for president in 2024 and has President Donald Trump’s endorsement. He spoke at the Young Americans for Liberty National Convention.

“The truth of the matter is, you know, no matter what happens in whichever direction we go, people of my generation have already made it. We’re going to be fine. It’s your generation that pays the price.”

The convention ran for three days at Xavier University, in the city where he was born. The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that Ramaswamy, 40, left after 14 minutes. He was booked for 30 and told the room the real divide was winners against whiners. Attendees shouted about Israel, energy prices, and data centers. Young Americans for Liberty grew out of the Ron Paul movement and backs limited government.

He reached the generation line about halfway through his remarks. The audience did not appreciate his view that his generation had already made it. They also rejected his claim that their generation would pay the price. Earlier he told one heckler to sit down until he got his own speaking slot. Boos erupted again, and one attendee told him to get out.

Ramaswamy kept going, asking who still believed in free enterprise and capitalism. Some clapped when he called capitalism the best system to lift people out of poverty. Trump has endorsed him, yet recent polling shows a tight race with Democrat Amy Acton. Ramaswamy’s press secretary did not answer questions from the Cincinnati Enquirer. He said “Peace out, see you guys,” then was booed and heckled as he walked off stage.
