
McDonald’s has officially confirmed its SpongeBob SquarePants and One Piece crossover Happy Meal, bringing characters from the two franchises together for a new collection of toys.
The collaboration will launch at participating McDonald’s restaurants across the US on September 15 and will only be available for a limited time.
Rather than offering separate SpongeBob and One Piece collections, the promotion combines the two franchises. Characters from Bikini Bottom have been reimagined as members of the Straw Hat crew, with 15 exclusive collectible toys available.

Among the confirmed mashups is SpongeBob as Monkey D. Luffy, complete with the Straw Hat captain’s signature look.
Patrick has been transformed into Zoro, while Squidward takes on Sanji. Gary also appears dressed as Tony Tony Chopper.
McDonald’s promotional artwork shows several other crossover designs, with the full collection consisting of 15 toys for customers to hunt down.
The SpongeBob x One Piece Happy Meal arrives just weeks after McDonald’s rolled out another collectible-focused promotion.
Starting September 1, participating restaurants in Texas are offering a state-exclusive Texas Meal featuring seven collectible cups inspired by different regions of the Lone Star State, with customers also able to swap in the returning Spicy Chicken McNuggets.
