S-Tier Characters in Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls

These are the characters with the best kits that anyone can easily understand how to use, and have a very high skill ceiling if you wish to try ranked mode:

Green Goblin

Green Goblin is currently the most skill-involved character in the game due to his vast kit. Not only does he excel in both close and long-range combat, but his glider can attack separately. Therefore, you can force opponents into a corner by using both the glider and his different types of bombs.

The glider also gives him flight, which adds a separate layer of movement tech on top of all the other abilities. This makes Green Goblin the character with the most potential if you frequently practice his moves.

Star Lord

Star Lord is a great character to have on your team, as he is sort of a jack of all trades, but master of none when it comes to usability. His unique ability allows you to switch between guns, each having different projectiles and elements. This can come in handy when facing opponents with varied playstyles on each character.

Additionally, Star Lord has high movement, which gets enhanced by flight. He can shoot lasers with his gun, then dash forward quickly to get into melee combat, and then disengage as easily due to a quick combat backstep. In other words, if you cannot decide on a unit, then pick Star Lord to start your Tokon journey.

Magik

Like most other S-tier Marvel Tokon characters in this list, Magik is yet another unit that has a varied kit. She excels in mid-range combos, as you can switch between her sword slashes and throwing fireballs, which have quite a lot of range. This also gets enhanced when in the Darkchild form, which is a simple power-up from her normal kit.

The thing that puts Magik into S-Tier is her portals. You can set them up as you want in the arena, which allows Magik to travel between them, including the fireballs. This allows you to easily perform fakeouts or even backstab by teleporting behind the enemy mid-combo.

Black Panther

Black Panther or Shuri is currently one of the most powerful melee units with a very aggressive kit. Black Panther’s unique ability allows her to gain Bast’s Blessing, which enables her to command dash in different directions. You can stack multiple of these, so you can quickly perform up to four dashes in a row, which have really high speed to either engage or disengage.

This further gets boosted by her Ultimate, which gives you unlimited Bast’s Blessing for a small amount of time. Therefore, you can just dash around the arena to push your opponent to the corner by keeping the pressure on without rest.

Doctor Doom

Doctor Doom is a projectile-heavy character who excels at filling the screen with various attacks. If you use him, you have to be patient, as you have to mostly bait enemies into engaging you so they have to deal any sort of damage.

His Nullify Shield can essentially block damage across the arena, which you can position, even to the point of selecting the direction of its movement. During this, you can keep firing lasers to deal damage, or teleport close to enemies to perform grabs.

Magneto

The last S-tier unit for this Marvel Tokon tier list is Magneto. His entire playstyle revolves around putting clouds of debris in the arena, which combats many different agents who require high movement to perform properly.

These debris clouds not only stay in the arena when you switch to another unit, but can be used by Magneto to charge his attacks and make them stronger. If you prefer to get close,  you can set up the debris clouds and go in to command grab enemies.
