On October 12, 2026, President Donald Trump held a rally at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio. During his speech, he pivoted to talking about U.S. Senator from Ohio Jon Husted. He spoke about Husted’s body, claiming he started “examining” it. The president also noted the senator’s jawline, calling him “tough as hell.” Revealing that he hurt his hand after smacking him on the back, Trump went on to say this at the rally:

“I don’t do this with men very often. I started examining his body. Because, I didn’t know he was a great athlete. And, I looked, I watched up and down, I looked at his ***… And then, I looked at his hands. He’s got these claws… Jon fought for Ohio. Look at that jawline, I’m telling you. I never saw that. I never studied him. And now, I study him… Look at the jawline; he’s tough as hell… I just hit him in the back and I hurt my hand a little bit. He’s like a piece of steel…”

Senator Jon Husted was a college football player at the University of Dayton.
