Konami reveals Metal Gear Solid cat toys in team-up with huge feline influencer

Konami has unveiled a collection of Metal Gear Solid products made specifically for cats, complete with cardboard boxes designed for feline stealth missions.

The publisher will debut the unusual merchandise at CatCon 2026 as part of its promotion for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, which launches on August 27.

According to Polygon, the lineup includes cardboard scratching boxes modeled after those used by Big Boss and Old Snake for stealth and infiltration.

Konami is also releasing plush pet toys and cat collars inspired by Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

The products will be sold at Konami’s booth during CatCon at the Pasadena Convention Center on October 10 and 11. Fans unable to attend can purchase them through the OKS Gear Shop, but only during those same two days.

Konami has partnered with Kat Curtis and her cat Uno, better known online as One Eared Uno, to promote the collection.

Uno has amassed more than five million followers across social media, making him one of the internet’s biggest feline influencers. He and Curtis are best known for comedy skits based on their everyday lives.

Uno and Curtis will also host a meet-and-greet at Konami’s CatCon booth on October 10 at 2 PM PT.

Gaming-inspired cat products have previously attracted intense demand. In 2026, Pokémon fans saw scalpers flip a Magikarp cat toy for more than four times its retail price.

Cats have also become increasingly prominent in creator content. One YouTuber spent three months building a basketball arena for his pets, while another influencer created a working slot machine that dispenses cat treats.

There is even a mobile game that lets users collect real cats like Pokémon Go.
