Recently, actress Kate Beckinsale shared a series of Instagram posts that concerned fans. On September 20, 2026, TMZ reported that the Underworld star posted a black square with the one-word text overlay that read, “bye.” According to reports, she then posted a picture of a rainbow over a road at an intersection with the following caption over the picture:
“congratulations you won I give up.”
She had also deleted all of her previous posts from Instagram, and her current bio contains a link to a BBC article about British TV personality Caroline Flack, who died by suicide in 2020. TMZ said they reached out to Beckinsale’s representative, who had not responded. This is not the first time the actress has posted something cryptic on Instagram.

Back in February 2026, TMZ reported that Kate Beckinsale had shared cryptic and troubling messages on her Instagram. Her posts section had allegedly been cleared, leaving only one image with the text “you win” written on it. TMZ also reported that her Instagram stories contained screenshots of Google search results about privacy violations and their legal consequences, hidden cameras, and abuse-related topics.
In August 2026, People reported that Beckinsale had also spoken about the negative comments she received about her body after her mother’s death in 2025. She also revealed that she has mast cell activation syndrome. In an August 8 post, she reportedly wrote:
“You take a break from Instagram for several months following the death of your mother, delete all of your posts and explain in some considerable detail about what you may have lost weight including the fact that weight loss is one of the very first physical signs of bereavement.”
