The world of Jujutsu Kaisen has seen the introduction of quite a lot of incredibly powerful sorcerers over the years, but the vast majority of them have a ceiling to what they can do with their cursed techniques. This ceiling was officially broken through in the most recent Jujutsu Kaisen project, titled Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, by Gege Akutami and Yuji Iwasaki.
In this new story, Gege revealed Dabura Karaba, who is an incredibly powerful new sorcerer with two different cursed techniques called Murderous Intent and Light. With his powers shining in the battle against the Divine General Mahoraga, Dabura officially becomes the first sorcerer strong enough to destroy the entire world.
Jujutsu Kaisen Officially Confirms Dabura’s Cursed Technique Can Destroy The World
Dabura Karaba was introduced to us as a member of the Simurian race in the very first chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, but his true powers were only revealed in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter 15, which was officially released on December 15, 2025, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 3. Since then, Gege Akutami and Yuji Iwasaiki expanded upon Dabura’s powers tremendously, and it was revealed to us that he holds the potential to destroy the entire world. Dabura has access to two different Cursed Techniques. The first is named Murderous Intent, and this is a special ability that cannot be understood by humans. It is a special inherited technique passed down through the Deskunte tribe of Simuria, and it essentially is murderous intent given a tangible form and then used to deal damage to enemies.
Dabura’s other Cursed Technique is far more dangerous, and that is the power of light. This Cursed Technique is exactly what the name suggests. It allows Dabura Karaba to control and attack with light. This means all of Dabura’s attacks are lightspeed and practically impossible to get around in combat. In his battle against Mahoraga, which officially began in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter 15, Dabura was able to skewer the Divine General in a matter of seconds. If Mahoraga did not have the power of adaptation, this battle would have ended right there and then. However, because Dabura was not aware of the fact that Mahoraga was adapting to its powers, his Light Cursed Technique became practically useless against it.

The true potential of the light Cursed Technique was revealed to us later down the line as Dabura applied it to his own body and, for the very first time, started moving at sublight speeds. The fact that he could move at sublight speeds means that Dabura can essentially go on to destroy the entire world if he wills it. For instance, Dabura can essentially jump to the future using his powerful Cursed Technique. Due to how relativity works, Dabura would age significantly slower if he continues to move at sublight speeds, while on Earth decades and centuries would have passed in that time. Most importantly, Dabura’s attacks become that much more dangerous when he’s moving at sublight speeds.

Technically, a single punch from Dabura when launched at sublight speed can create a nuclear explosion that not only destroys a significant portion of his own body but also the countries around him. The strongest Cursed Technique seen in Jujutsu Kaisen was Gojo Satoru’s Unlimited Void, using which he could create a Hollow Purple strong enough to delete everything in its path.
Now Dabura’s basic attacks charged to sublight speeds can essentially act as unadulterated nukes, and when he outputs them at maximum level, he can destroy countries and eventually the entire planet with ease.
Why Dabura’s Light Is Strong Enough To Wipe Out Countries With Ease
In Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 19, which was officially released on January 26, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 9, Dabura Karaba, for the very first time, moved at sublight speeds. When he first attempted this, he was still not hitting his maximum potential as he continued to get faster. The more Cursed Energy he applied to his own body, the faster he got. Eventually, Dabura started creating copies of his own body and circled the Earth to land a powerful blow on Mahoraga with his foot. This blow created a mini nuclear explosion, erasing Mahoraga almost entirely. Unfortunately, by this time, Mahoraga had already adapted to Dabura’s powers, especially because it is a very simple Cursed Technique. The higher the complexity, the more difficult it is for Mahoraga to adapt to it.
Mahoraga ended up surviving this attack, and Dabura lost his leg, which prompted him to learn Reverse Cursed Technique on the spot. The scary part is that this wasn’t Dabura’s full power. Dabura was clearly seen trying to get even closer to the speed of light, and the closer he gets to it, the stronger he becomes. At full power, Dabura can essentially destroy entire planets with ease, and there is no character in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen who even comes remotely close to him in terms of overall attacking prowess. What’s more, Dabura’s growth as a sorcerer is not over yet. He still has a lot of potential to fulfill and will continue to grow in the next few years of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Dabura Is The New Strongest Sorcerer In Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo
In the current world of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji Itadori is proclaimed the strongest among humans. But overall, Dabura Karaba has a significant chance, as he holds greater potential than him. Yuji has access to two different Cursed Techniques and the power to utilize Black Flash at will. But all these techniques have ceilings. Yuji also has a very overpowered Domain Expansion, which makes him a sorcerer arguably above the level of Gojo and Sukuna.
Dabura, however, has the power to destroy the entire world. Technically, there is nothing that Yuji can do in battle against Dabura, and due to his immense speed, the battle would end before it even begins. This is without even taking into consideration the fact that Dabura also created Cursed Technique Reversal to create Darkness out of light, which should have twice as much output as light. He also has an unbeatable Domain Expansion called Crossing of Light and Darkness: Reverse Transcendence, the powers of which likely far eclipse Shrine. No matter which way we look at it, Dabura is the absolute strongest being in the world of Jujutsu, far surpassing Gojo, Sukuna, and even Yuji Itadori.
