Joe Rogan signs massive nine-figure Spotify deal as JRE keeps topping charts

Joe Rogan has renewed his Spotify partnership in another deal reportedly worth nine figures, extending the agreement as The Joe Rogan Experience continues to dominate podcast listening.

Spotify announced the new multiyear licensing agreement on October 8. According to The Wall Street Journal, its terms are similar to Rogan’s previous contract, which carried an estimated payout of $250 million. Spotify has not disclosed the financial details.

The renewal follows his reported $250 million agreement in 2024, which ended JRE’s Spotify exclusivity and allowed full episodes to return to platforms including YouTube and Apple Podcasts.

Joe Rogan extends Spotify partnership as JRE stays on top

“The partnership with Spotify has been an amazing fit, and they’re incredible to work with,” Rogan said in Spotify’s announcement.

The host also expressed his excitement about continuing the relationship for years to come.

Spotify’s head of content partnerships, Jordan Newman, said: “Joe has built something incredibly enduring,” crediting the show’s distinctive format and global audience. He added that Spotify’s podcast business had grown alongside JRE throughout their partnership.

The audience figures help explain why Spotify is keeping Rogan around. JRE has 18 million followers on the service, which makes it its most-followed podcast since their partnership began in 2020. New episodes will remain available on Spotify and other platforms under the renewed agreement.

Its reach extends well beyond Spotify, too. The show has more than 21 million YouTube followers and ranked as America’s number-one podcast by reach in the second quarter of 2026, according to Edison Research.

That doesn’t mean Rogan wins every chart battle. Many podcasts have knocked JRE off the top spot on more than one occasion, including Amy Poehler, the Always Sunny podcast, and Tucker Carlson.

Those temporary setbacks haven’t stopped Spotify from signing up for another multi-year run with its biggest podcast star.
