As you win races and earn Credits, you’ll be able to buy more parts from Hibi’s Shop. These parts give your vehicle new boosts and benefits to help you keep up with the competition. While some are straightforward, others have more passive effects that only trigger when you do certain things. You may find that some of these vehicle parts require you to perform a perfect landing in Star Wars: Galactic Racer. While you’re likely to have done this once or twice before while racing, knowing how to actually do it is key to getting the most out of your vehicle parts that require them. In this guide, I’ll explain how to get a perfect landing in Star Wars: Galactic Racer.
How to Perform Perfect Landings in Star Wars Galactic Racer
To perform a perfect landing, you need to use the left analog stick to angle your vehicle in the air to be in line with the ground that it’s about to land on.
For example, if you’re landing on ground that is tilting from left to right, you’ll want to tilt the left analog stick slightly to the right to lower the right-hand side of your vehicle so that your vehicle is parallel with the ground. If you’re landing on flat ground and don’t have an immediate turn to make up ahead, you can let go of the left analog stick, and you should get a perfect landing without having to do anything else.
Keep in mind that this isn’t just a horizontal angle you’ll need to consider. You need to make sure that if you’re about to land on an incline, your vehicle is leaning further back so that it also lands parallel with the incline.
You’ll know that you’ve done this correctly as you’ll get a notification in the upper right corner of the screen that simply says ‘Perfect Landing.’ Any vehicle parts you have equipped that have a bonus triggered by getting a Perfect Landing should then automatically trigger. These typically grant you an additional boost of speed after a Perfect Landing or grant Shield.
If you combine the Perfect Landing speed boost of some vehicle parts with turning in mid-air to ensure you can immediately use your Afterburner or can take a tight corner more easily, you can make what would typically be some of the trickiest sections of a track into points where you can quickly overtake other racers.
