Popular streamer Sneako shared his thoughts about the cost of living in New York. In a recent Kick stream, the streamer shared his estimates while looking at apartments around the Manhattan area. He was trying to wrap his head around the rent prices for a decent two-bedroom apartment. The streamer began to wonder how people in the city could afford to live in the area and said, “How are people paying for this?”

“The rent around Manhattan, bro, for like a decent two-bedroom apartment—even a decent one-room bedroom in Manhattan, you’re looking at like at least $8,000. At least $8,000 a month; that would be normal. If you want to get a luxury—like a really nice, like a decent two-bedroom, it’s like $10,000.”

The streamer was curious how people who live in a city make ends meet. Sneako doesn’t shy away from claims that he is hardworking and a hustler. However, he was impressed to see the prices of modern Manhattan apartments.

While checking out rent prices, Sneako deduced most of the people living in Manhattan apartments came from money. He humbly called himself a hustler and a hard worker but wanted to know what type of industry is booming nowadays.

“I’m looking at these places; I’m wondering how people are paying for this? You see how hard I work. You know, undeniably, I’m a hustler.”

Sneako wanted to understand better how people can afford expensive apartments but did not rule out generational wealth.

“A lot of it is old money; that’s the answer. It’s generational money. Most of the people that live in those apartments, if they’re around my age, they’re not paying it themselves.”
