Hidden Valley Ranch is getting a Halloween makeover with a new black version of its signature dressing packaged inside a glow-in-the-dark bottle.
The company launched its limited-edition Spooky Ranch on September 24, marking Hidden Valley’s first-ever seasonal product. Despite its dramatically different appearance, the dressing keeps the familiar Original Ranch flavor.
Hidden Valley’s Halloween release arrives ahead of Halloween, with the brand positioning the dressing as an option for everything from Halloween snacks to pizza.

Spooky Ranch gets its deep black color from fruit juice and cocoa powder rather than artificial flavors. The dressing is also gluten-free.
The ranch itself isn’t the only part getting the Halloween treatment. Hidden Valley has packaged Spooky Ranch in a glow-in-the-dark bottle designed to stand out when the lights go off.

Hidden Valley suggests using the black ranch as a dip for Halloween snacks or drizzling it over pizza, with the limited release timed around what the company calls the year’s biggest pizza holiday.
Hidden Valley Spooky Ranch is available now exclusively at Walmart for a suggested retail price of $3.97. The limited-edition dressing will only be sold during the Halloween season and is available while supplies last.
Hidden Valley isn’t the only major food brand getting into the Halloween spirit this year. Dairy Queen recently revealed its first-ever Halloween menu, with the limited-time Spellbound Series launching September 28.
The lineup includes a Bubble Brew Sparkler that bubbles and foams when stirred, a purple Enchanted Oreo Blizzard, and a Ghost Pepper Sauce. Dairy Queen is also releasing collectible Mystery Blizzard Buddy plush keychains, with anyone who finds the rare Goldie version getting Blizzard Treats for a year.
