A heated body pillow that recreates the warmth of a human body has been released, taking naps with your favorite anime waifus and husbandos to new heights.
Whether you’re snuggling with Silent Hill 2’s James Sunderland body pillow or receiving Attack on Titan’s Colossal Titan, there’s a chance you’ve felt the initial coolness of their touch.
Fortunately, the minds over at Japanese electronics company Thanko have created a body pillow that’s as warm as a loving embrace.

Creators Thanko ask the question that has undoubtedly been on your mind: “Have you ever returned home to a quiet night after an event and wished your favorite character was there beside you?”
If you have found yourself pondering this age-old question, then the Oshi no Nukumori Body Pillow will put this thought to bed once and for all.
According to the translated store page, the body pillow uses a built-in heater that comes with three different settings that go all the way up to 42°C.
However, Thanko recommends setting the body pillow to cosy 36°C for that realistic human body temperature (there really is no way to write that without being creepy, is there?).
With the medium setting toggled on, the creators say owners will get around seven hours of warmth. There’s also an automatic shutoff that powers the pillow down after four hours, just in case you forget to power it off.
The pillow also stands at 5 feet 3 inches long and measures 12.6 inches wide by 7.9 inches deep, and weighs around 4.6 pounds. This means it can be kitted out with most body pillow coverings, so your favorite anime and game characters should fit it nicely.
It costs ¥7,980 (around $51) and is currently available to purchase via the Thanko website. Sadly, it looks like the pillow is only available to residents in Japan, so you may want to leave some room in your suitcase if you want to grab one for yourself.
