GTA 6 fans have already started 3D printing their own versions of Macca the Gator, with the files needed to make one now publicly available less than a day after Rockstar revealed its $400 Collector’s Box.
Rockstar unveiled Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection on September 24, priced at $399.99 in the US. The limited-edition box contains 11 pieces of physical merchandise, including Oakley sunglasses, a New Era hat, a crossbody bag, pins and a full map of Leonida.
GTA 6 itself is sold separately.
One of its standout collectibles is a six-inch figure of Macca the Gator, a character from an in-universe Leonida TV show who has become increasingly prominent in GTA 6’s marketing.
However, players apparently didn’t have to wait long before finding a way to make their own version.
GTA 6 fans can now print their own Macca the Gator
Within hours of the Collector’s Box reveal, fans began showing off 3D-printed recreations of Macca online.
Things escalated even further on September 25 when a downloadable 3D model recreating the figure appeared on Cults3D, meaning anyone with access to a 3D printer can now attempt to make one themselves.
The listing contains separate STL files for Macca and his base and recommends printing the approximately 16cm-tall model using resin. The files are listed under Cults3D’s open-pricing system.
The creator also took a jab at Rockstar over the official collection’s price and the fact it doesn’t include GTA 6 before telling other users to enjoy the model.
The fan-made version won’t necessarily be identical to Rockstar’s collectible. The official Macca figure includes a twist-open stash compartment in its base, something Rockstar specifically advertises as part of the $399.99 set.
Still, with printable files already circulating before the Collector’s Box has even shipped, GTA fans now have a considerably cheaper way of getting one of its most recognizable collectibles.
The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection is due to arrive on November 19 alongside GTA 6.
