The Grandmaster Ursine Gear is an absolute upgrade from the Mastercrafted Ursine Gear, and it’s available only in The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine through the Master Armorer, Lazare Lafargue. Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Ursine Gear Locations
#1-3 Grandmaster Ursine Armor, Gauntlets, and Silver Sword
Head to Flovive, where you can venture a short walk north to the Tufo Vineyard. On your way to the vineyard, look left, and you’ll see a collapsed house, which is where the Bear Witcher, Junod of Belhaven, had gone to complete his contract on a Shaelmaar.
Go around the back of the house, and you’ll find rubble blocking a tunnel, which you can clear with the use of Aard. As soon as you enter, you’ll find a chest on the right with the following three diagrams:
- Grandmaster Ursine Silver Sword
- Grandmaster Ursine Armor
- Grandmaster Ursine Gauntlets
#4-6 Grandmaster Ursine Trousers, Boots, and Steel Sword
Now that you have the treasure hunt quest thanks to the diagrams shown above, you can head to the Owl Eye Grottos, as marked on the map. There’s a cave entrance here that you can enter, but be mindful of the Giant Centipede!
You’ll find a rock wall to destroy with Aard when you follow the corner opposite the Giant Centipede, and you can continue through the cave, hugging the left path, until you find a small room with a skeleton containing the final three diagrams:
- Grandmaster Ursine Trousers
- Grandmaster Ursine Boots
- Grandmaster Ursine Steel Sword
With all six diagrams now acquired, head to Lazare Lafargue at the Grandmaster Smith, which is located in Beauclair, and you can now make the rather costly process of crafting this armor when you return the diagrams to him.

Wearing the Grandmaster Ursine Gear provides passive buffs depending on how many pieces you are wearing:
- 3 Piece Bonus: When a Quen shield shatters, there is a chance a new one is cast at no Stamina cost. This bonus increases by 5% for each piece of the set worn.
- 6 Piece Bonus: Damage dealt by Abilities involving the Quen Sign is increased by 200%.
