Reckless Ben claims Bricks & Minifigs is attempting to shut down his newly rebranded Reckless Bricks store, but the YouTuber has responded by opening another location in Sarasota, Florida.
The creator, whose real name is Ben Schneider, became involved in the Bricks & Minifigs controversy after investigating a disputed $200,000 LEGO Star Wars collection that a family claimed was withheld following a change in store ownership. The saga has since involved arrests, lawsuits and multiple viral investigations.

Reckless Ben calls new store a “distraction”
During a livestream on September 19, Schneider claimed Bricks & Minifigs sent a legal notice demanding millions of dollars in damages and attempting to take control of the first Reckless Bricks store.
The claim comes days after Schneider opened a former Bricks & Minifigs location in Tucson, Arizona, and rebranded it as Reckless Bricks. That opening was covered by Dexerto earlier this month.
According to Schneider, the first store operated for two days before lawyers responded.
“Bricks and Minifigs basically being like, ‘You owe us over like basically millions of dollars in damages and we take over the store now,’” he said.
Schneider did not show the full legal document during the livestream, and the claims have not been independently verified. Bricks & Minifigs has not publicly responded to his latest allegations.
He claimed that any sales made by the store could ultimately go to Bricks & Minifigs if the franchise wins the dispute.
“So, this is where I thought we need a distraction,” Schneider said. “And what better distraction than opening another Reckless Bricks?”
The new location opened in Sarasota, Florida, with Schneider joking that he would continue opening stores whenever Bricks & Minifigs attempted to shut one down.
“When they try to shut down this store, we’ll just open another store and take their mind off this store,” he said.
The opening quickly became chaotic, with Schneider claiming that around 4,000 people had arrived and employees struggling to let customers into the building. He later said the store had stocked three times as much inventory as the previous location after selling out during its first two days.
The store also had several birthday parties booked before the rebrand. Schneider claimed customers had scheduled the events expecting a Bricks & Minifigs location, but would instead arrive at Reckless Bricks and take part in games themed around the ongoing dispute.
One planned game involved children playing hopscotch over printed images of Bricks & Minifigs figures and executives.
Schneider ended the livestream by asking viewers to visit Sarasota and support the new store while taking attention away from the original Reckless Bricks location in Arizona.
