On August 11, 2026, the X account @LeadingReport shared a quote from Donald Trump that states, ‘2% of the people cause 91% of the crime.‘ The following day, controversial streamer Zack “Asmongold” responded to the post with his thoughts on the issue. He argued that “quality of life would immediately improve” if the ‘bottom 2% of society were removed and institutionalized.’ Asmongold wrote:
“It’s catching on. If you removed and institutionalized the bottom 2% of society, everyone’s quality of life would immediately improve. No more plexiglass CVS cabinets, no flock cameras, 24/7 Walmarts return. You have no idea how much these “people” inconvenience you.”

Why Was Asmongold Banned From Twitch?
On August 6, 2026, Asmongold received a two-week suspension on Twitch. Although the Amazon-owned company has not publicly confirmed the reason for the suspension, fellow streamers and social media users have speculated that it resulted from the comments he made about the Moroccan-Spanish immigration crisis. Three days before the suspension, the controversial streamer said this during a livestream:
“I’d shoot whoever. I mean, if it’s kids, women, men, anybody, just shoot them. They’re going to stop coming over. Because if you don’t do that, they will use children and women as shields to get themselves over. And then they’ll put more women and children at risk because they know that they can use them as collateral so they get more of themselves over. That’s the way it works. That’s the way an animal thinks, and these people are animals. It’s just the way it is. They’re savages.”
