Nicki Minaj reminds her audience that Donald Trump is still President of the United States in her latest X post.

On November 5, 2026, Nicki Minaj broke her silence on the midterm elections with a 13-point post on X, two days after Democrats won the House and Senate.
Minaj congratulated Republican winners, naming Rep. Anna Paulina Luna and Florida governor-elect Byron Donalds, and reminded critics that Donald Trump still holds the White House. She argued that heavy spending on a celebrity-backed campaign had not paid off. She closed with a note for her fans, the Barbz. She wrote:
“Couple things: 1. Trump is STILL your PRESIDENT. 2. The QUEEN is STILL your OBSESSION. 3. Jesus is STILL LORD. 4. Great insight by the VICE PRESIDENT. 5. Knowledge is POWER. 6. Congratulations to all winners! Especially @RepLuna & @ByronDonalds. 7. Blowing a billion on a losing campaign full of celebrities is STILL hurting them. 8. The BARBZ are STILL PRETTY!!! 9. I don’t vote, I VETO. 10. Stay tuned & STAY MAD. 11. Christians are STILL being killed. 12. Maybe now our people will WAKE UP. 13. Love you.”
Minaj had spent the final weeks on the campaign trail. She flew aboard Air Force One with Trump to an Oct. 25 rally in Port Huron, Michigan, and backed Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers and gubernatorial candidate John James. Snopes reported that both lost, along with nearly every other candidate she endorsed. Donalds was the exception.
Donald Trump on Nicki Minaj as the Potential White House Press Secretary

On October 31, 2026, Billboard reported that Benny Johnson asked Trump on The Benny Show, days before the vote, whether Minaj could take the job of the White House Press Secretary. The US President said that he would have to “think about it.” Trump stated:
“That’s a good idea. I think I’ll have to think about that. I’m gonna think about that.”
He added that Johnson would be “pretty good” in the role too. According to Billboard, talk began Oct. 25, when White House communications director Steven Cheung posted a mock briefing Minaj gave aboard Air Force One. In a post on X, he wrote:
“Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House press secretary!”
No formal offer or appointment followed.
