Twitch streamer HAchubby reveals cancer diagnosis

Twitch streamer HAchubby has revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer, forcing her to cancel her plans for TwitchCon. 

Kicking off her November 4 stream, HAchubby – a popular IRL streamer on Twitch – revealed that she was expecting some news from doctors after undergoing testing. 

Almost two hours into the stream, after a brief pause, the streamer broke into tears, telling fans that she had been diagnosed with cancer They said that I have cancer,” HAchubby said, holding back further tears.

“They still don’t know what stage it is. They don’t know the details yet,” she added. The streamer later noted that her Korean translator told her that the doctors found “some aggressive things” while examining her. 

“They don’t know, yet, the stage. I don’t know how bad it is. I feel pain, only in a specific part,” she explained a few hours later.

HAchubby cancels TwitchCon plans for cancer treatment 

After her stream ended, HAchubby also took to X (formerly Twitter) to inform fans that she would have to skip TwitchCon. She had initially planned to still attend the event before heading home to Korea for treatment.

“I was diagnosed with cancer today. It seems like it may be close to spreading, so I’m planning to go to Korea right away for treatment,” she added.

“Sadly, I had to cancel my TwitchCon plans. Please don’t worry too much. I found a good doctor, and I’ll keep streaming from Korea, too.”

The streamer also told viewers that she was focused on the “stress” of things, seeing as she didn’t have the full details. 

She was also informed that her hospital in the United States would transfer her details to Korea, so her doctors would be on top of things once she is under their care.

Back in 2024, fellow Twitch streamer Ninja was also diagnosed with cancer, as he had discovered a mole on his foot. It turned out to be a “super early” melanoma, which was later removed.
