Razer has unveiled the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition, a limited-edition PS5 controller featuring a magnesium alloy frame, premium materials, and a $349.99 price tag.
The new controller is a special version of the Raiju V3 Pro, which is designed for competitive gaming on PlayStation 5 and PC. However, the Signature Edition introduces a redesigned exterior and several premium accessories.
Razer is positioning the controller as both a high-performance gaming accessory and a collector’s item, with just 1,337 individually serialized units available worldwide when it launches on November 10, just in time for GTA 6.
Razer’s $350 PS5 controller features magnesium alloy design
The Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition features a magnesium alloy exoskeleton with an open polygonal design across its top and back plates. Its chamfered edges and nano coating are designed to protect the exposed internal components from debris.
The controller also includes matte black micro-textured TPU grips designed to resist oils and abrasion, while its touchpad features a laser-etched Razer logo on a semi-transparent tinted glass panel.
Despite its redesigned exterior, the Signature Edition retains the competitive gaming features found in the standard Raiju V3 Pro.
These include anti-drift TMR thumbsticks, which use contactless sensors for precise movement, alongside six remappable multi-function buttons. Players also get two claw-grip bumpers and four mouse-click back buttons.
While the controller is officially licensed for PS5, it is also optimized for PC gaming, where Razer HyperPolling Wireless enables a 2,000Hz polling rate for faster input reporting.
“With the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition, we set out to illustrate what happens when Razer’s engineering and design capabilities are pushed to their absolute limits,” said Charlie Bolton, Razer’s global head of design.
“It draws on years of experience in high-performance controllers, delivering tournament-grade responsiveness in a design that feels like a statement piece in hand.”
Each controller comes with a premium leather carrying case, alternative thumbstick caps, four interchangeable back button covers, and an anodized aluminum tool for replacing the rear buttons.
Razer previously used a similar magnesium alloy design for its Viper Mini Signature Edition gaming mouse, which launched in February 2023 for $279.99. Like the new controller, the mouse featured an exposed exoskeleton and was initially sold through limited product drops.
