Tech multimillionaire Adam Robinson, his wife, and their two young children have been identified among the nine people who died in a devastating private jet crash in Florida.
The Learjet 60 was traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas on Sunday, November 1, when it suddenly plummeted from the sky and crashed into a residential area in Palm Beach County at approximately 12:50 p.m.
The aircraft exploded on impact, leaving a massive crater in the ground and scattering debris across the surrounding neighborhood. All nine people on board died.
Victims of private jet crash identified
According to TMZ, 44-year-old tech entrepreneur Adam Robinson was traveling with his wife, Helen Sharp, their two children, a nanny, and two close friends.
Robinson was the founder of Retention.com and RB2B, two marketing technology companies specializing in customer identification and sales leads. Before entering the tech industry, he worked in finance at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital.
The entrepreneur previously built email marketing company Robly, which he reportedly sold in an eight-figure deal.
As People reported, the couple’s children were identified as four-year-old Emma and two-year-old Charlie.
Their nanny, Anita Maria Apellido Cetina, and family friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr were also among those killed.
In a statement, relatives described Emma and Charlie as “the light of their lives.”
The aircraft’s two pilots were identified as 55-year-old Jeff Gregory and 20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, who reportedly earned her pilot’s license at just 17 years old.
Moments before the crash, air traffic control recordings captured the crew reporting ice accumulation and moderate turbulence while requesting permission to climb to a higher altitude.
However, the situation rapidly deteriorated, with the aircraft descending at more than 20,000 feet per minute as the pilots desperately attempted to regain control.
The crew’s final radio transmissions included a warning that they were going to crash before the words, “We’re out of time.”
The National Transportation Safety Board has launched an investigation into the crash. Officials say there is evidence the aircraft may have begun breaking apart before impact, although the exact cause remains unknown.
The tragedy comes just months after another prominent Austin entrepreneur, Capital Factory CEO Joshua Baer, died in a separate private jet crash in June 2026.
