Dedeco, the Brazilian YouTuber behind some of the biggest EA FC and PES channels in the country, has died aged 33.
His wife, Fernanda Leite, shared the news on October 28, just weeks after the couple married in Rio de Janeiro and announced they were expecting their first child. No cause of death has been given.
Following his funeral, Fernanda posted a tribute on Instagram, explaining that becoming a father was his “biggest dream.”
“He was so happy! So fulfilled!” she wrote, translated from Portuguese. “In this moment, I’m trying to remember his smile, his prayer in our living room and the tears of joy as soon as we found out.”
The pair revealed the pregnancy on October 9 with a photo of a baby kit in Flamengo colors, a nod to Dedeco’s lifelong club.
“I know many of you knew Dedeco, the talented, big-hearted and fun guy,” Fernanda added. “I lived with André, a man who was far beyond Dedeco, much bigger.”
Dedeco, real name André Luiz Berbett Pinheiro Lopes, had been uploading since 2015 and built a channel of more than 1 million subscribers on the back of Master League saves and career mode series.
That success opened doors beyond YouTube. Flamengo brought him on to make content for its esports side in 2020, and he went on to become one of the voices of Brazil’s national esports broadcasts, commentating at the 2025 FIFAe World Cup.
The Brazilian Football Association (CBF) also paid its respects, describing Dedeco as a partner on the eSeleção’s esports broadcasts, while fans and fellow creators have flooded social media with messages.
