Elon Musk’s replies to a viral post on X about his parenting style being similar to “corporate scheduling.”

On October 29, 2026, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk pushed back on a viral post by X account @spacetourist0 about how he divides his time among his children. The billionaire said the description of his co-parenting arrangements was wrong “on many levels.” He wrote:
“This is wrong on many levels. My older 5 children are adults and live independent lives. I see my kids with Claire every other week and kids with Shivon every few days. That’s the whole schedule.”
The post, which carries a reader-added Community Note, argued that his co-parenting arrangements with multiple women were run like a company, with nannies coordinating with assistants and calendar invites deciding which children saw their father on which days, citing former employees.
Elon Musk Talked About His Children Before

Space Tourist’s post on October 29 did not dispute that Musk sees his children. It argued that a schedule is not the same as being present, and that the parents had handed the logistics of 14 children across four households to staff.
He has 14 publicly known children with four women, as People reported on June 6, 2025. The five oldest, with his first wife, Justine Wilson, were born in 2004 and 2006, all now 20 or older. “Claire” is Claire Boucher, the musician Grimes, with whom he has three children; Shivon Zilis is a Neuralink executive and mother of four.
He has described the routine himself. He told Page Six on October 30, 2024, that Boucher’s children “spend alternating weeks in Texas and California,” and Zilis testified in federal court in Oakland in May 2026, in evidence the BBC reported on May 7, that he spends several hours a week with her and their four children.
The reply did not mention Ashley St. Clair, who announced on X on February 14, 2025, that Musk fathered her son, Romulus. Cosmopolitan reported on January 12, 2026, that Musk said that he would seek full custody; the two are in a custody dispute.
