Popular musician and songwriter Nicki Minaj has expressed her support for President Donald Trump in recent campaign rallies. As a prominent public figure and celebrity supporter, the artist became a powerful ally for the Republican Party. Despite her strong support, the artist may be unable to cast her vote, as she has not confirmed her US citizenship status.

To put things in perspective, the artist was born on December 8, 1982, in Trinidad and Tobago. She moved to the United States as a child and grew up in Queens, New York. While growing up, she became a green card holder, which enabled her to work in the country and gain lawful permanent resident status. While she may be a permanent resident, this does not mean she is a US citizen, which prevents her from voting. In a post on her personal X account, Nicki Minaj said she was finalizing her citizenship paperwork earlier this year. Since then, the artist has not provided any updates on her progress.

“Residency? Residency? The cope is coping.

Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President. Thanks to the petition.

I wouldn’t have done it without you. Oh CitizenNIKA you are the moment Gold Trump card free of charge.”

In her post, she gave extensive credit to President Donald Trump and thanked him. She also added a photo of Chucky flipping the bird to combat her critics regarding her citizenship.
