He also said the current administration has launched an attack on democracy. Jeffries stated that a Democratic House majority would end voter suppression. He said:
“A Democratic majority is gonna fight to get the special interest money out of politics by fighting hard to end Citizens United, and of course a Democratic majority has got to make sure that we turn things around in terms of this attack on our democracy. So one of the more important things that we’ll do in the next Congress is to pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act so we can end the era of voter suppression once and for all.”
