#SaveMassEffect Petition Appears on Billboard in Times Square

The #SaveMassEffect petition that popped up online after the announced closure of BioWare by EA and the cancellation of the next Mass Effect game now has an ad in Times Square. BioWare is a legendary RPG developer that brought the universes of Mass Effect and Dragon Age to life across multiple games, and many fans were eagerly waiting for more news surrounding the next chapter in the sci-fi saga. Fans were worried about Dragon Age‘s future after the release and reception of Veilguard, but things took a turn for the worse for the studio.

#SaveMassEffect Petition in Times Square NY

The official Change.org petition called #SaveMassEffect has already gained 216,561 unique signatures at the time of writing, and it now appears on a billboard in New York City in Times Square. The ad plays for 15 seconds every hour at the 35-minute mark, and it’s visible at 1560 Broadway above the Pelé Soccer store in Times Square. This was shared and created by Twitter user Kala Elizabeth, an illustrator and YouTuber. It’s unclear how long the ad will play or if it’s limited to today, but it’s yet another demonstration of fans not giving up what they believe in. Mass Effect may have another chance with all the help from fans and content creators, but even if this works, an uphill battle awaits.
