Modder puts Minecraft inside GTA 5 on iPhone with a rideable Ender Dragon

A modder has demonstrated Minecraft inside an unofficial iPhone port of GTA 5, complete with Steve, Minecraft’s interface, and an Ender Dragon flying over Los Santos.

The creator, who goes by 0xProbability, posted footage of the crossover on X. The project combines Minecraft characters and features with GTA 5’s city, with a follow-up demonstration adding another way to fly around the map.

The underlying iPhone port was created by a separate developer, C22. Their project, called Muguet, adapts a browser version of GTA 5 to run as a native application on Apple devices.

Steve takes the Ender Dragon over Los Santos

“I put Minecraft inside GTA V. On an iPhone. Yes, you can ride the Ender Dragon,” 0xProbability wrote alongside the first demonstration.

The footage features Steve and Minecraft’s HUD, with the Ender Dragon taking flight above GTA 5’s city. The creator credits Anthropic’s Claude with writing and testing the modification. They also claim they did not touch the phone while the AI controlled the dragon during testing.

A second post on October 12 demonstrated Elytra flight in what the creator calls “GTA 5 (Minecraft Edition)” on iOS, adding Minecraft’s wearable wings to the crossover.

The underlying port requires some setup. C22’s documentation lists an Apple Silicon Mac, Xcode, and an Apple developer account among the requirements for building the iOS application. Players must also provide the game files themselves, with iOS 15 or later required and 8GB of RAM recommended.

The demonstration follows another recent Minecraft crossover, with Tobyn Jacobs showing Minecraft inside Elden Ring. That project featured Minecraft’s interface and tools in the Lands Between, with Jacobs claiming support for 1,600 items, working redstone, and Creative Mode.
