Updated October 10, 2026, by Mark Sammut: This article has been updated with new images, headings, and a refreshed intro.
Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen manga concluded more than two years ago by this point, but Yuji, Gojo, and company remain relevant due to the ongoing anime. Season 3 aired in early 2026, setting the stage for the next phase of the Culling Game saga, which should unfold over the next year or two. Honestly, the wait has been hard, but we can always rewatch the available episodes, read the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo spin-off manga, or revisit JJK‘s many characters.
Jujutsu Kaisen‘s action sequences hog the limelight, but the manga and anime wouldn’t have become so popular without their strong cast of characters. This article covers the ages, birthdays, and heights of Jujutsu Kaisen‘s characters, at least for the ones with that information revealed.
This article focuses on the anime, not the manga. Spoilers for arcs that have yet to be adapted will be largely avoided.

¹ Panda’s age hasn’t been confirmed, but fans speculate that he is approximately 16–17 years old, just like his friends and classmates Maki and Toge.
² Sukuna was born over a thousand years in the past, with no official birthday confirmed.
³ Mahito is a cursed spirit, and thus, he doesn’t technically have a birthday or age.
⁴ Kenjaku has been alive for countless centuries, but his birthday remains unknown.
*A bit more than 190 cm, as Gojo seems to be a bit taller than Geto, who is 190cm.
Yuji Itadori Is Jujutsu Kaisen’s Classic Shonen Protagonist
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Yuji Itadori: 15
- How Tall Is Yuji Itadori: 5′ 8″ tall (173 cm)
- Yuji Itadori’s Birthday: March 20th
- Japanese Voice Actor: Junya Enoki
- English Voice Actor: Adam McArthur
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 1; “Ryomen Sukuna”
Yuji Itadori starts the anime as a peppy 15-year-old boy, the right age for a first-year high school student in Japan. Yuji might look a bit too ripped and muscular for a teenage track-and-field star, but as a shonen anime protagonist,it’s excusable. As the anime’s protagonist, Yuji helps drive the story forward, even if other characters occasionally overshadow him. He’s passionate, emotionally driven, strong-willed, and full of youthful determination (aka the battle-shonen MC combo).
Yuji’s story effectively begins when he swallows one of Sukuna’s fingers, propelling him fully into the world of Jujutsu Sorcerers. Though he initially seems destined to become little more than a vessel for the King of Curses, Yuji’s strong will lets him retain control of his body, though it comes at the cost of a dangerous contract with Sukuna.
Best Power: Itadori possesses an enormous amount of Cursed Energy because of Sukuna’s presence. The young sorcerer has great potential, which Gojo Satoru recognized. So he took Itadori under his wing and trained him to bring Sukuna under control.
Sukuna Lives Up To His Reputation
King Of Curses
- How Old Is Sukuna: 1000+
- How Tall Is Sukuna: 5′ 8″ (173 cm)
- Sukuna’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Junichi Suwabe
- English Voice Actor: Ray Chase
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 1; “Ryomen Sukuna”
Known as the King of Curses, Sukuna is over 1000 years old and lives on in various forms, making him the series’ oldest character. He doesn’t have an official birthday, since tracking it down after a millennium would be difficult; meanwhile, his height changes with whichever demonic form he takes on. In the anime, he shares Yuji’s height at 5′ 8″ (173 cm), since he came into existence in Yuji’s body.
For the most part, Sukuna doesn’t appear much in most Jujutsu Kaisen arcs, in the sense that he doesn’t get regular screen time. However, his presence looms over the entire story, and that goes beyond his situation with Yuji. Many characters are driven not only by a desire to collect Sukuna’s fingers but also by fear of, or reverence for, the King of Curses (sometimes both). Sukuna is a deadly force you don’t mess with.
Best Power: Sukuna is by far the most powerful curse in the series. He possesses an immeasurable amount of cursed energy that he can use to obliterate his enemies with ease. He hasn’t yet shown his true strength, but it won’t be long before he does.
Megumi Fushiguro Is More Than Yuji’s Rival
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Megumi Fushiguro: 15
- How Tall Is Megumi Fushiguro: 5′ 9″ (175 cm)
- Megumi Fushiguro’s Birthday: December 22nd
- Japanese Voice Actor: Yuma Uchida
- English Voice Actor: Robbie Daymond
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 1; “Ryomen Sukuna”
Megumi starts Jujutsu Kaisen at the same age as Yuji, studying alongside the pink-haired boy at the challenging Tokyo Jujutsu High. His birthday makes him a high-achieving Capricorn, which explains his strong determination, eagerness to surpass others, and desire to be a high-achieving jujutsu sorcerer like his sensei. He is also compassionate, but doesn’t want to show it. Though he’s only a single inch taller than Yuji, his spiky hair adds a couple of extra inches.
In the anime’s early episodes, Megumi can be hard to pin down, coming across as an aloof figure who is unnecessarily hostile towards Yuji. However, among Jujutsu Kaisen‘s divisive trio, he is arguably the most intriguing, with a strong set of core beliefs that shine through whenever he is pushed beyond his limits. As the story progresses, Megumi gradually shifts into an almost secondary MC role, especially when Gojo takes a backseat.
Best Power: Megumi Fushigoro may not have as much cursed energy as his teammate, Itadori, but his overall skills are just as impressive. Fushigoro’s Ten Shadows technique allows him to summon different types of Shikigami, each with varying power levels.
Nobara Kugisaki Is Great But Also Deserves Better
Jujutsu Sorcerer

- How Old Is Nobara Kugasaki: 16
- How Tall Is Nobara Kugasaki: 5′ 3″ (160 cm)
- Nobara Kugasaki’s Birthday: August 7th
- Japanese Voice Actor: Asami Seto
- English Voice Actor: Anne Yatco
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 2; “For Myself”
Nobara is slightly older than the two boys she works alongside (Megumi and Yuji), and she begins her training in Tokyo as a confident, wacky, and talented junior sorcerer. Nobara is a valuable asset to the world of sorcery, and with a bit of physical and emotional training, she could have gone as far as any other character. Her loud, funny, and fierce personality aligns with her star sign: Leo.
Nobara is one of the more polarizing Jujutsu Kaisen characters, and that is almost entirely because of her journey rather than her personality. Strong-willed and with a fun fighting style, she is generally a blast whenever the story lets her shine, which doesn’t happen all that often.
Best Power: Nobara is a skilled sorcerer who has proven multiple times that she is not to be trifled with. Her Straw Doll technique is unique and lets her damage another person with cursed energy.
Satoru Gojo Is The Most OP Sorcerer In Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Sorcerer

- How Old Is Satoru Gojo: 28
- How Tall Is Satoru Gojo: 6′ 3″ (190 cm)
- Satoru Gojo’s Birthday: December 7
- Japanese Voice Actor: Yuichi Nakamura
- English Voice Actor: Kaiji Tang
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 1; “Ryomen Sukuna”
This special-grade jujutsu sorcerer was born back in 1989. Though still very young, Gojo has insane skills not only from years of training as a jujutsu sorcerer, but also because he’s simply far more gifted. He’s way taller than his students, standing at a towering height that makes him even tougher and bulkier. Satoru can move quicker than the wind, proving that his massive height doesn’t slow him down.
Gojo is enigmatic, arrogant, funny, and prone to bouts of laziness. Although he cares about others to an extent, his overconfidence often puts people in danger; in fact, Gojo’s willingness to shrug off his responsibilities directly led to Yuji eating Sukuna’s finger.
Best Power: Gojo Satoru is widely recognized as the world’s strongest Jujutsu sorcerer. In the first season, Gojo proved his strength by mocking special-grade curses, and Limitless and Infinity are two of the greatest weapons in his vast arsenal.
Masamichi Yaga Is The Principal Of Tokyo Jujutsu High
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Masamichi Yaga: 47
- How Tall Is Masamichi Yaga: Unknown
- Masamichi Yaga’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Takaya Kuroda
- English Voice Actor: Keith Silverstein
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 2; “For Myself”
Masamichi Yaga is the principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High, making him an integral part of the storyline. Given that he is the principal of Jujutsu High, it is not surprising that he is among the best Jujutsu sorcerers in the entire series.
Masamichi Yaga is a serious man who is always focused on his job. However, he also has a soft spot for his students. When the situation calls for it, Masamichi Yaga doesn’t shy away from expressing his emotions. He is also one of the few characters with a strong moral compass.
Best Power: Masamichi Yaga is an expert at using cursed energy to create puppets. Over time, he became so adept that he began to create self-sustaining puppets like Panda.
Maki Zenin Is A Cool-As-Heck Sorcerer
Jujutsu Sorcerer

- How Old Is Maki Zenin: 16
- How Tall Is Maki Zenin: 5′ 7″ (170 cm)
- Maki Zenin’s Birthday: January 20th
- Japanese Voice Actor: Mikako Komatsu
- English Voice Actor: Allegra Clark
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 5; “Curse Womb Must Die -II-”
While everyone has their favorites, many people, including me, rank Maki among the best JJK characters, even if the main manga and anime don’t always give her enough love. Although presented as a valuable sorcerer who can hold her own against most mid-level threats, Maki is undoubtedly positioned as a supporting figure to the main trio and Gojo. Fortunately, she isn’t going away anytime soon, and her time in the spotlight isn’t over yet in the adaptation.
If you want to see Maki at her absolute best, Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Jujutsu High is the way to do it, as she is promoted to a protagonist alongside Yuta. Maki’s backstory with the Zenin clan is fascinating and heartbreaking, all the while serving as a window into the sorcerer culture. She is a highlight of the story.
Best Power: Maki’s lack of cursed energy did not stop her from becoming a sorcerer. Her strongest attribute is her physical strength, which surpasses most characters in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Toge Inumaki Doesn’t Need To Speak To Leave His Mark
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Toge Inumaki: 17
- How Tall Is Toge Inumaki: 5′ 5″ tall (164 cm)
- Toge Inumaki’s Birthday: October 23rd
- Japanese Voice Actor: Koki Uchiyama
- English Voice Actor: Xander Mobus
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 5; “Curse Womb Must Die -II-”
Due to barely speaking and only appearing sporadically, Inumaki should arguably be among the more forgettable Jujutsu Kaisen characters; however, that is not the case. While not as popular as someone like Gojo, Toge has a strong following because of a mix of a cool design, an air of mystery, and a loud, memorable Cursed Technique.
Because of his Cursed Speech technique, Inumaki can’t really talk, which limits how present he can be in the story. In the manga, his importance and presence decline after the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc, though he does appear occasionally afterward. While it is a shame he doesn’t have a bigger role in Jujutsu Kaisen, Inumaki is still an intriguing character.
Best Power: Toge’s Cursed Speech is an amazing ability that allows him to infuse his speech with cursed energy, making others obey his commands.
Panda Looks Like A Panda… I Mean, That’s His Defining Feature
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Panda: Approx. 16
- How Tall Is Panda: 6’7″ (200 cm)
- Panda’s Birthday: March 5th
- Japanese Voice Actor: Tomokazu Seki
- English Voice Actor: Matthew David Rudd
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 5; “Curse Womb Must Die -II-”
Panda is the final second-year student, training with Toge and Maki at their school. That’s just who he is. He is pretty tall for a panda, standing at a whopping 6’7″ (200 cm) in height; of course, he isn’t a real panda, but rather an Abrupt-Mutation Cursed Corpse brought to life by Principal Yaga.
This big brawler was born on March 5th, sharing the Pisces zodiac sign with Yuji. His age is unconfirmed, but he might be 16 or 17, like Maki and Toge; however, we don’t know for certain, so he might be older or younger.
Best Power: Panda has three cores, each transforming him into a different beast. His default state is, naturally, Panda, but he can also become a Gorilla or a Triceratops.
Kento Nanami Is An Absolute Beast
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Kento Nanami: 28
- How Tall Is Kento Nanami: 6′ 0.5″ (184 cm)
- Kento Nanami’s Birthday: July 3rd
- Japanese Voice Actor: Kenjiro Tsuda
- English Voice Actor: David Vincent
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 8; “Boredom”
Introduced about halfway through season 1, Kento Nanami is a capable sorcerer who serves as a useful mentor to Yuji, arguably helping him more than Gojo. Speaking of the latter, Nanami is pretty much the direct opposite of Satoru. Not only does he have a far more subdued personality, but he is also way more pragmatic and generally treats his position as a Jujutsu Sorcerer as a job.
Nanami is one of the few sorcerers to initially remove themselves from this world, opting to become a salaryman. However, after a few years of that grind, he realized that he would never feel fulfilled working in that culture. As such, he decided to return to being a Jujutsu Sorcerer, though he doesn’t romanticize that life.
Best Power: Nanami is a Grade 1 sorcerer, and almost all the young ones look up to him. Nanami has an impressive amount of Cursed energy, but he uses it sparingly. His Ratio Technique enables him to create a weak spot on his enemy’s body.
Yuki Tsukumo Follows Her Own Path
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Yuki: Early 30s (Estimated)
- How Tall Is Yuki: Very Tall
- Yuki’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Noriko Hidaka
- English Voice Actor: Anjali Kunapaneni
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 2, Episode 5; “Premature Death”
Introduced in the Shibuya Incident Arc and playing a bigger role in the Culling Game, Yuki Tsukumo is one of Jujutsu Kaisen‘s most powerful sorcerers. A special-grade sorcerer, Yuki is on the level of people like Yuta, Gojo, and Geto, though they aren’t all equally powerful. Because she disagrees with how Jujutsu Headquarters handles things, she has largely been removed from this world in recent years, and her goal is to completely eliminate curses. While not necessarily her intention, Yuki ended up influencing Geto, who adopted her desire to create a curse-free world.
Yuki is an interesting character, as she is one of the few Jujutsu Sorcerers who exist outside the bubble and largely work to further her own goals. That doesn’t mean she is egocentric, though, as she is more than willing to help out or provide support when required. She also fights with Garuda, her shikigami.
Best Power: We never actually saw her domain expansion, so we have to assume it is her greatest power. That said, Star Rage is probably her strongest weapon.
Find the odd one out before the timer hits zero.
Kinji Hakari Follows His Own Rules
Jujutsu Sorcerer

- How Old Is Hakari: Approx. 18
- How Tall Is Hakari: Unknown, but maybe around 6’1″ as he is considerably taller than Yuji
- Hakari’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Kazuya Nakai
- English Voice Actor: Yuri Lowenthal
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 3, Episode 5; “Fever”
Jujutsu Kaisen kept Tokyo Jujutsu High’s 3rd-year students under wraps for a pretty long time, holding off until season 3 and the Culling Game arc to properly introduce them. They’re intrinsically linked, so let’s start with Kinji Hakari. A highly capable sorcerer who plays by his own rules, Hakari was exiled after an incident with an official, and he shows little interest in regaining the good graces of the Jujutsu Sorcerers’ leaders. However, he respects people like Gojo.
Hakari runs a fight club that seeks people with a burning “Fever,” meaning they are passionate and willing to go into deep waters to pursue their goals. Rather than money or success, he is driven by a desire to find intense Fevers, and his interest in somebody is directly proportional to their level. Although arrogant and awful at times, Hakari is ultimately not terrible, and he is willing to help those who capture his eye.
Best Power: Hakari is absurdly powerful, even more so than Yuta. He has plenty of weapons to rely on, but his greatest power is his luck. His domain is inspired by pachinko, and he needs to hit a jackpot to become unkillable. He is lucky enough to pull this off.
Kirara Hoshi Is Hakari’s Shadow (And More)
Jujutsu Sorcerer

- How Old Is Kirara: Approx. 18
- How Tall Is Kirara: Unknown
- Kirara’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Yuki Sakakihara
- English Voice Actor: Kayleigh McKee
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 3, Episode 5; “Fever”
One of Jujutsu Kaisen‘s more intriguing late-reveal characters, Kirara Hoshi has a fairly unique attitude for a Jujutsu Sorcerer. For one, they don’t seem to care much about their responsibilities; instead, they are mostly preoccupied with Hakari. Kirara is somewhat obsessed with their fellow 3rd-year schoolmate, and they try to keep him to themselves. They hate Tokyo Jutsu High in general, but they are receptive to sorcerers who don’t act in the school’s name.
Kirara comes across as Hakari’s sidekick to an extent, and they are presented as the weaker of the two. However, don’t underestimate them; they are dangerous and have a top-notch cursed technique. They are also wicked smart and can outthink most opponents.
Best Power: Love Rendezvous can be devastating, as Kirara marks two targets with stars. If two people (or a person and an object) have the same star, they naturally attract each other. If they have different stars, they need to follow an order to get closer to each other. Kirara needs to touch a target to activate this technique, so it can be difficult to pull off.
Takuma Ino Makes The Most Of His Limited Time
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Takuma Ino: 21
- How Tall Is Takuma Ino: N/A
- Takuma Ino’s Birthday: N/A
- Japanese Voice Actor: Yū Hayashi
- English Voice Actor: Lucien Dodge
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 12; “To You Someday”
A bit unassuming compared to other characters, Takuma Ino might be underestimated by both enemies and viewers, especially since he is only a Grade 2 Sorcerer. Sure, that is still impressive by most metrics, but someone with that grading hardly seems able to contribute against upper-tier Cursed Spirits. However, Takuma is far more dangerous and capable than he might initially seem, and his grading reflects his commitment to Kento Nanami rather than his skill level.
Takuma doesn’t get many chances to shine throughout the anime, but he makes the most of them. His main contribution is fighting Ogami and her grandson during the Shibuya Incident arc, at least in battle. For the most part, he holds his own, only becoming overwhelmed when Ogami’s special power catches him by surprise. Takuma also mentors Yuji later in the saga.
Best Power: Along with being a well-above-average martial artist, Takuma’s strongest technique involves summoning four beasts to fight alongside him. He triggers this ability by putting on a mask to cover his face, which grants him access to the four spirits (Ryu, Reiki, Kirin, and Kaichi). The Auspicious Beasts Summon is a cool concept that, unfortunately, rarely gets showcased in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Atsuya Kusakabe Has His Priorities Right
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Atsuya Kusakabe: N/A
- How Tall Is Atsuya Kusakabe: N/A
- Atsuya Kusakabe’s Birthday: N/A
- Japanese Voice Actor: Shinichiro Miki
- English Voice Actor: Kirk Thornton
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 2, Episode 7; “Evening Festival” (Also appears in Jujutsu Kaisen 0)
Like many supporting characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, Atsuya Kusakabe has most of his biographical information hidden, and the official fanbook doesn’t even list his birthday. That said, Atsuya is still relatively well-rounded and one of the few Grade 1 jujutsu sorcerers who doesn’t use cursed techniques. He debuts during the high-stakes Shibuya Incident Arc and doesn’t initially make a great first impression, as he is reluctant to provide Gojo with direct support.
However, once things go south, Atsuya quickly jumps into action, showing he is more than capable and willing to put his life on the line to protect innocent civilians. The last part is especially important, as Atsuya’s primary motive is to save ordinary people caught in the middle of this conflict between curses and sorcerers. He emphasizes that there are way more lives on the line than just a few named characters.
Best Power: Atsuya is a special case because he doesn’t rely on cursed techniques, and his contributions come primarily from his sword skills. On that front, he is arguably one of the strongest technical fighters in Jujutsu Kaisen, even if he has a lower ceiling than most Grade 1 sorcerers.
Kiyotaka Ijichi Has A Tough Job
Tokyo Jujutsu High’s Assistant Manager
- How Old Is Kiyotaka Ijichi: 27
- How Tall Is Kiyotaka Ijichi: N/A
- Kiyotaka Ijichi’s Birthday: April 20
- Japanese Voice Actor: Mitsuo Iwata
- English Voice Actor: Chris Tergliafera
- Debut Anime Episode (Full): Season 1, Episode 4; “Curse Womb Must Die”
Not everyone can be Yuji or Gojo, but that does not mean they have nothing to offer. While he attended Tokyo Jujutsu High with plans to become a full-fledged sorcerer, Kiyotaka Ijichi was not built for it, and he eventually found his place as a guiding figure rather than someone who fights on the frontlines. At the start of the main story, Kiyotaka is well established as Tokyo Jujutsu High’s assistant manager, giving him authority over jujutsu sorcerers in tense situations where coordination and communication are crucial.
Although he might not be able to stand against the strongest curses, he is still relatively competent and a useful ally to have in most situations. Even if he is not the flashiest or most entertaining Jujutsu Kaisen character, Kiyotaka is a fantastic addition to the cast. In anime with overwhelmingly powerful heroes and villains who can seemingly do anything, a “normal” character can help balance things out, grounding battles that could otherwise feel like they feature only god-like beings.
Best Power: Kiyotaka’s cursed techniques are fairly unimpressive. His contributions are mostly defensive, setting up things like barriers. Useful stuff for sure, but nothing amazing. That said, Kiyotaka’s most important ability is his calm, analytical mind, which lets him guide a team of Jujutsu Sorcerers from the sidelines.
Yoshinobu Gakuganji Is The Principal Of Kyoto Jujutsu High
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Yoshinobu Gakuganji: 76
- How Tall Is Yoshinobu Gakuganji: N/A
- Yoshinobu Gakuganji’s Birthday: N/A
- Japanese Voice Actor: Mugihito
- English Voice Actor: Kyle Hebert
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 8; “Boredom”
The principal of Kyoto Jujutsu High, Yoshinobu Gakuganji is one of the oldest characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, at least when it comes to humans; however, he should not be underestimated and is more than capable of holding his own against spirits and much younger sorcerers alike.
Acting as something of a counter to Gojo, Gakuganji represents traditional Jujutsu Sorcerer ideals and practices, and he tends not to get along with more unconventional personalities. Of all the sorcerers, he is the staunchest believer that Yuji should be killed to reduce the risk Sukuna poses. While he plays only a sporadically important role in the anime, Gakuganji is an important figure in Jujutsu Kaisen‘s world.
Best Power: His cursed technique is powerful; he plays a guitar that turns sound waves into attacks. If nothing else, it is pretty cool.
Utahime Iori Is The Student Supervisor at Kyoto Jujutsu High
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Utahime Iori: 31
- How Tall Is Utahime Iori: N/A
- Utahime Iori’s Birthday: February 18th
- Japanese Voice Actor: Yoko Hikasa
- English Voice Actor: Tara Sands
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 14; “Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event – Group Battle 0 -”
The only other Kyoto Jujutsu High staff member introduced – Utahime acts like a big sister/parental figure to the students, generally striving to keep them in line but often struggling to get the job done. To be fair, that perception is shaped by the fact that most of her early scenes involve Gojo, who seems to know exactly what to say to make Utahime lose her temper. Outside of her interactions with him, she comes across as a respectable figure with a degree of authority, even though Jujutsu Kaisen rarely gives her much opportunity to show what she can do.
While she gets some time in the spotlight during the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc, Utahime has not much to do during the Shibuya Incident Arc. Like most Kyoto Jujutsu High characters, she’s a minor player, especially since her skills are better suited to an assist role.
Best Power: Utahime’s Solo Forbidden Area makes her one of the most useful support figures in the anime, as she can amplify another sorcerer’s strength within her range. She doesn’t use it much throughout the story, but it should be highlighted in a future arc if the anime decides to drop a third season.
Aoi Todo Is A Powerhouse
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Aoi Todo: 18
- How Tall Is Aoi Todo: 6′ 3″ (190 cm)
- Aoi Todo’s Birthday: September 23rd
- Japanese Voice Actor: Subaru Kimura
- English Voice Actor: Xander Mobus
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 8; “Boredom”
Aoi Todo debuted in the first season of the anime. Standing at 6′ 3″, Todo is among the tallest characters in the series. From the get-go, Todo seemed a bit eccentric. Despite his impressive physique, Todo doesn’t appear to come off as intimidating. In fact, his behavior is quite akin to Itadori’s. He loves to fight strong people, and he is obsessed with an idol named Takada-chan.
He played a pivotal role in the victory of the Jujutsu sorcerers against the curses in the first season. Given his interesting personality and immense strength, Todo is one to keep an eye on.
Best Power: Todo’s Boogie Woogie is a remarkable technique that lets him change the position of any person within his range. The only drawback of this ability is that it requires Todo to clap his hands.
Mai Zenin Is Maki’s Sister
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Mai Zenin: 17
- How Tall Is Mai Zenin: 5′ 7″ (170 cm)
- Mai Zenin’s Birthday: January 20th
- Japanese Voice Actor: Marina Inoue
- English Voice Actor: Laura Post
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 8; “Boredom”
Mai Zenin is a second-year student at Kyoto Jujutsu High. She is also the younger twin sister of Maki Zenin, but the two have different personalities. The siblings argue and try to outdo each other.
Mai has access to cursed energy, and she can use it to fight her enemies. Even though Maki has extremely low cursed energy, she makes up for it with her physical abilities. Another difference between the two sisters is their determination. Mai is more passive, while Maki is extremely assertive.
Best Power: Mai Zenin is not nearly as strong as her sister, and neither does she have any impressive power in her locker. Her only noteworthy skill is Construction, which lets her create something from nothing. Her present limit is one bullet per day.
Momo Nishimiya Is, Well, A Witch
Jujutsu Sorcerer

- How Old Is Momo Nishimiya: 18
- How Tall Is Momo Nishimiya: 4‘ 11″ (150 cm)
- Momo Nishimiya’s Birthday: July 7
- Japanese Voice Actor: Rie Kugimiya
- English Voice Actor: Tara Sands
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 14; “Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event – Group Battle 0 -”
Kyoto Jujutsu High’s students might not get as much attention as Tokyo’s main players, but they leave enough of an impression to, at least, gain some fandom. Momo Nishimiya tends to slip into the background, which makes her a relatively minor player in the grand scheme of things; that said, how can you not love her fashion sense? Combined with her ability-infused broom, Momo looks like a fairly traditional witch, and she wouldn’t seem out of place alongside Black Clover‘s Vanessa or Little Witch Academia‘s protagonists.
Designed to aid other sorcerers from a distance, Momo is one of the best scouts in Jujutsu Kaisen, as her powers are specifically designed around that role. She can take to the skies and pinpoint enemies, allowing stronger sorcerers to take them out. While presenting some resistance in direct battles, Momo exists to enforce a team’s potential, rather than her own.
Best Power: While not the most impressive thing on paper, Momo’s levitation is extremely useful, and she knows how to make the most of it. Also, she can basically fly. How can that be anything but awesome?
Kasumi Miwa Cuts Like A Knife
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Mai Zenin: 17
- How Tall Is Mai Zenin: 5′ 7″ (170 cm)
- Mai Zenin’s Birthday: April 4
- Japanese Voice Actor: Chinatsu Akasaki
- English Voice Actor: Allegra Clark
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 8; “Boredom”
Due to being introduced alongside a host of other Kyoto Jujutsu High students, Kasumi can get somewhat lost in the shuffle, especially since she does not have anywhere near as big of a personality as Aoi or Mai. She is arguably one of the softest-spoken characters in JJK, and she generally tries to keep a level head and avoid jumping headfirst into situations without thinking.
Though only a second-year student, Kasumi could easily pass for a young teacher because of her demeanor. That said, she is a touch more naive than most of her companions and tends to be way too harsh on herself.
Best Power: Honestly, Kasumi is not that powerful a sorcerer. She is mostly just decent, and her contributions are primarily in support of stronger fighters. Her strongest technique involves creating an anti-domain that will automatically attack anything that enters within range.
Kokichi Muta Has A Complicated Life
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Kokichi Muta: 17
- How Tall Is Kokichi Muta: Unknown
- Kokichi Muta’s Birthday: October 4
- Japanese Voice Actor: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka
- English Voice Actor: Keith Silverstein
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 14; “Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event – Group Battle 0 -”
One of the most tragic Jujutsu Kaisen characters, Kokichi Muta was dealt a tough hand due to being bedridden because of Heavenly Restriction, a curse that gave him immense power at the cost of his own health. Unable to leave his chambers, he controls a mecha from a distance, using his puppet to interact with the other Kyoto Jujutsu High members. Craving a normal life, Kokichi sells out to Mahito and Kenjaku, betraying his fellow sorcerers.
Rather than coming across as a bad person, Kokichi just seems desperate. He wants to be just like everybody else, and he is willing to do nearly anything to achieve that goal. While he does not get that many scenes throughout the anime, Kokichi is arguably one of its most interesting characters.
Best Power: Ultimate Mechamaru, a cursed corpse Kokichi controls. The mecha is quite versatile and powerful.
Yuta Okkotsu Is JJK’s Other Protagonist
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Yuta Okkotsu: 17
- How Tall Is Yuta Okkotsu: Unknown
- Yuta Okkotsu’s Birthday: March 7th
- Japanese Voice Actor: Megumi Ogata
- English Voice Actor: Kayleigh McKee
- Anime Debut: Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie
Yuta Okkotsu only appeared once in the anime, but he was the highlight of the critically acclaimed Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Yuta Okkotsu is an extremely talented Jujutsu sorcerer and a major supporting character throughout the series. Most fans know about Yuta from the movie, and they see his growth from a timid person to a bold and determined sorcerer.
Yuta shares a few similarities with the main protagonist, Itadori Yuji. Both are extremely caring and willing to put their bodies on the line to protect their friends. It took Yuta a while, but he eventually mastered cursed energy with continuous training. When it comes to combat, if given too much time and space, Yuta can decimate his opponent in the blink of an eye.
Best Power: Yuta Okkotsu’s strongest ability is called Copy. It allows him to replicate the innate techniques of others. He can use all the copied techniques without any significant drawbacks.
Shoko Ieiri Completes The Geto and Gojo Trio
Jujutsu Sorcerer & Tokyo Jujutsu High’s Doctor
- How Old Is Shoko Ieiri: 28
- How Tall Is Shoko Ieiri: Unknown
- Shoko Ieiri’s Birthday: November 7
- Japanese Voice Actor: Aya Endō
- English Voice Actor: Ryan Bartley
- Anime Debut: Season 1, Episode 5; “Fearsome Womb, Part 2”
A fairly minor player in the grand scheme of things, Shoko arguably doesn’t get the love she deserves, at least when compared to her two schoolmates: Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto. During their Jujutsu Sorcerer training, these three were effectively their era’s equivalent of Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara, and they shared a similar close dynamic. While not as powerful as her schoolmates, Shoko was and still is a highly competent healer, which allowed her to slip comfortably into the role of primary physician for Jujutsu High.
The arc going over Gojo’s history showcased that Shoko was a fearless teenager who was more than willing to call out her (powerful) partners’ mistakes. Outside this saga, Shoko has not had much to do, as she very much stays away from the frontlines and opts to play a support role. Still, she is a fun presence whenever she makes an appearance, which is usually for a few scenes in every arc.
Best Power: Reverse Cursed Technique is Shoko’s area of expertise, and she uses this ability to heal others by turning cursed energy into positive energy. While not the only person who can use this technique, Shoko can use this power and her knowledge as a doctor to greater effect than most other characters.
Akari Nitta Does Nothing Throughout The Anime
Jujutsu Sorcerer

- How Old Is Akari: Unknown
- How Tall Is Akari: Unknown
- Akari’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Sora Tokui
- English Voice Actor: Sarah Anne Williams
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 22; “The Origin of Obedience”
As an assistant manager at Tokyo Jujutsu High, Akari mostly handles administrative duties. However, she attended the Kyoto school as a student and serves as a point of contact for first-year students just coming to grips with their powers and responsibilities as Jujutsu Sorcerers.
Akari is kind of a weird one, since she does very little in the story despite her relatively prominent role. As an assistant manager, you would assume she has abilities that let her contribute in the field, but she never demonstrates a curse technique. She mostly relays information, and she rarely gets to do much beyond that.
While this can be disappointing, Akari is still a somewhat important characterbecause an anime like Jujutsu Kaisen usually needs a couple of “normal” characters to balance out the walking reality-destroying heroes and villains. Compared to nearly everyone else at Tokyo Jujutsu High, Akari is “ordinary,” but she still tries to do her part.
Best Power: Nothing. Well, I guess she can take a near-fatal hit and still keep her wits.
Hiromi Higuruma Believes In Justice
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Higuruma: 36
- How Tall Is Higuruma: Unknown
- Higuruma’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Tomokazu Sugita
- English Voice Actor: Ben Balmaceda
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 3, Episode 2; “One More Time”
One of the most fascinating JJK characters introduced during the Culling Game arc, Hiromi Higuruma is a defense attorney driven to seek justice, something that has always eluded him. Years of real-life experiences led him to grow cynical, believing that the law cannot provide what he craves; consequently, he turns to violence to find his justice.
Awakened by Kenjaku, Hiromi becomes a Jujutsu Sorcerer in record time, reaching Grade 1 status in about a fortnight. Even more so than Yuji, this lawyer is a genuine prodigy, and that goes beyond just being a quick learner. He figures out Cursed Techniques on his own, creating a variety of strong abilities directly tied to his Domain. His powers are incredibly cool and unique, but Higuruma’s brilliance lies in his narrative importance. His disillusionment with the Japanese legal system is arguably one of the most realistic motives in the series, and his life as a Sorcerer came from desperation.
Best Power: Deadly Sentencing is Higuruma’s main power, and its activation automatically creates a Domain. Once inside, a trial begins: a Judgeman presents a case against the enemy, resulting in a sentence that can be death (though it doesn’t have to be).
Mahito Is JJK’s Best Villain
Cursed Spirit
- How Old Is Mahito: Unknown
- How Tall Is Mahito: 5′ 10½” (179 cm)
- Mahito’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Nobunaga Shimazaki
- English Voice Actor: Lucien Dodge
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 7; “Assault”
The main antagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen, Mahito is a cursed spirit, and thus, he doesn’t technically have a birthday. Though fans speculate he is only a year or so old, he has the appearance of a man in his 20s.
Mahito can shape souls into any form he wishes, including his own, so he could definitely alter his height at any time if he desired to. He reigns as the tallest and the shortest character in the series since he can change whenever he wants, but his typical blue-haired form stands at a nice, tall stature.
Best Power: Mahito is a malevolent character whose goal is the eradication of humanity from the face of the earth. He has many allies, but it would be fair to say that nobody is as cruel as Mahito. His Idle Transfiguration is a fearsome power with which he can disfigure the bodies of other people.
Suguru Geto Is JJK’s Most Complex Figure
Jujutsu Sorcerer & Curse User
- How Old Is Suguru Geto: 27
- How Tall Is Suguru Geto: 6′ 3″ tall (190 cm)
- Suguru Geto’s Birthday: February 3rd
- Japanese Voice Actor: Takahiro Sakurai
- English Voice Actor: Lex Lang
- First Anime Appearance: Season 1, Episode 5; “Curse Womb Must Die -II-”
- Full Anime Debut Episode: Season 2, Episode 1; “Hidden Inventory” (Also appears in Jujutsu Kaisen 0)
Suguru was originally a jujutsu sorcerer alongside Satoru Gojo until he broke away and used his cursed techniques for evil reasons, working alongside dangerous curses to get what he wanted. He is slightly younger than the white-haired sorcerer, but not any less talented or skilled in using cursed techniques. In terms of height alone, his 6′ 3″ height makes him a perfect match to go up against Gojo.
Best Power: Suguru Geto has the reputation of being the most malevolent curse user. He has a deep-rooted prejudice against non-sorcerers, which led to him killing over a hundred people. Suguru Geto’s ability to manipulate cursed spirits makes him extremely dangerous.
Kenjaku Is JJK’s Ultimate Villain
Curse User

- How Old Is Kenjaku: 1000+
- How Tall Is Kenjaku: Unknown
- Kenjaku’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Takahiro Sakurai
- English Voice Actor: Lex Lang
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 5; “Curse Womb Must Die -II-”
Kenjaku is an Ancient Sorcerer who also serves as one of the primary antagonists of Jujutsu Kaisen. He has managed to exist for centuries with the help of his special power. Through the years, Kenjaku has taken over the bodies of many people and completely tarnished their reputations.
When Kenjaku takes over a person’s body, stitches appear around the head of the individual. He is extremely vile and dangerous, as evidenced by the many acts of horror that he has committed over the years.
Best Power: Overall, Kenjaku is among the most powerful characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. He is intelligent and possesses a plethora of information about curses and curse techniques. Due to this reason, he can use almost any skill without any problems. Needless to say, Kenjaku’s intellect is by far his best power.
Jogo Is JJK’s Punching Bag villain
Cursed Spirit
- How Old Is Jogo: Unknown
- How Tall Is Jogo: Unknown
- Jogo’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Shigeru Chiba
- English Voice Actor: Michael Sorich
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 5; “Curse Womb Must Die -II-”
Fueled by a burning desire to see cursed spirits replace humans as the dominant form, Jogo is a prominent part of Jujutsu Kaisen‘s available seasons. Now, admittedly, he does come across as a henchman and a mini-boss rather than the big bad, but he is comfortably among the most powerful characters in the manga and anime. Jogo also grants a voice to curses in general, which is something that otherwise would be lacking since most of the main villains (so far) are curse users.
Despite experiencing pure joy at the thought of hurting and killing humans, Jogo is perfectly capable of building connections, at least with other spirits. He genuinely appears to care about the betterment of his brethren, and he is willing to suffer or die to help in the pursuit of Mahito and Kenjaku’s goal.
Best Power: Jogo’s domain expansion, Coffin of the Iron Mountain, is impressive as he essentially gains control of a volcano.
Choso Has Morals
Cursed Spirit

- How Old Is Choso: 150
- How Tall Is Choso: Unknown
- Choso’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Daisuke Namikawa
- English Voice Actor: Ray Chase
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 1, Episode 24; “Accomplices”
Choso is a Cursed Womb: Death Painting, and he was introduced in the first season of the anime. Initially, he worked for Kenjaku and Mahito, but he changed his mind after learning that Yuji was his brother. Choso was extremely protective of his siblings, and he was willing to go to great lengths to ensure that no harm would come to them.
Unlike most villains, Choso was not malevolent and didn’t want to kill people needlessly. As previously stated, the deaths of his two brothers served as motivation for him to fight alongside Kenjaku.
Best Power: Choso’s strongest asset is his Blood Manipulation. He can use the technique in a variety of ways. Choso could launch a stream of blood that was powerful enough to cut through solid metal. In addition to this, Choso could use Blood Manipulation in a variety of other ways.
Toji Fushiguro Is A Powerhouse Villain
Sorcerer Killer

- How Old Is Toji Fushiguro: Unknown
- How Tall Is Toji Fushiguro: Unknown (Speculation Has Him At Around 6’1″ – 6’2″, Although An official Height Has Not Been Released)
- Toji Fushiguro’s Birthday: December 31st
- Japanese Voice Actor: Takehito Koyasu
- English Voice Actor: Nicolas Roye
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 2, Episode 1; “Hidden Inventory”
Toji Fushiguro won over the fans in the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen. The famed assassin did not rely on too many Cursed Spirits to fight, instead opting to use his excellent physical abilities. Toji was also rather shrewd, and he carefully planned his every move.
Toji was not the best of fathers, nor was he a good human being. He worked for dubious people and did whatever they asked of him as long as they were paying him enough. He was also an arrogant individual who believed that no one could match him in combat. Unfortunately, this came back to bite him when he tried to fight Gojo Satoru again instead of running away. Toji was unable to win in their second meeting, which led to his death.
Best Power: In combat, there weren’t many people who could hold their ground against Toji Fushiguro. Despite being born without any cursed energy, Toji made a name for himself throughout the jujutsu world. He was proficient at wielding all kinds of weapons, making it almost impossible to get the better of him.
Naoya Zenin Plays The Political Game
Jujutsu Sorcerer & Hei Head
- How Old Is Naoya Zenin: 27
- How Tall Is Naoya Zenin: Unknown
- Naoya Zenin’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Kōji Yusa
- English Voice Actor: Alan Lee
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 3, Episode 1; “Execution”
Naoya Zenin is the most instantly detestable character in Jujutsu Kaisen, which is saying something considering the various cruel Cursed Spirits that populate the anime. He is awful in a very human way, with his personality being defined by entitlement, arrogance, prejudice, and narcissism. His opening scene involves him talking down to his family as he plans to become the heir to the Zenin Clan, while his father is literally at death’s door in the next room. His first significant action is a murder attempt on Yuji and Choso, and his primary goal is to kill Megumi. Just an all-around swell guy.
Just to be clear, none of the above is criticism. Naoya fulfills his role perfectly as a Jujutsu Sorcerer antagonist who will, hopefully, be brought down a peg by Megumi and Yuji. His behavior is rooted in his upbringing and the Zenin Clan’s reputation, so it is not just arrogance for arrogance’s sake.
Best Power: Projection Sorcery, which is a technique Naoya got from his father. To the untrained eye, this ability might seem like super speed, but that’s not exactly true. Basically, Naoya functions at 24 frames per second, allowing him to plan out moves before enemies can really react. This makes him extremely powerful and dangerous.
Tengen Is The Guardian Of The Tombs Of The Star Corridor
Jujutsu Sorcerer
- How Old Is Tengen: 1500+
- How Tall Is Tengen: Unknown
- Tengen’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Yoshiko Sakakibara
- English Voice Actor: Laura Post
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 3, Episode 2; “One More Time”
One of Jujutsu Kaisen‘s most mysterious characters, Tengen appears early in season 3, just after Megumi confirms the Culling Game is about to begin. Found in the Tombs of the Star Corridor, this Jujutsu Sorcerer has remained in this realm for more than a thousand years and is effectively immortal. Tengen maintains the Jujutsu High barrier, a crucial role that no other person can fulfill.
Tengen is both a very important and a minor character, with the former relating to their place in the world and the latter to their presence in the story. Even if we don’t see much of them, they’re still fascinating.
Best Power: The barrier Tengen creates around Jujutsu High, which helps keep it hidden from the world.
Hajime Kashimo Loves To Fight
Reincarnated Sorcerer
- How Old Is Hajime: 400+
- How Tall Is Hajime: Unknown
- Hajime’s Birthday: Unknown
- Japanese Voice Actor: Ryōhei Kimura
- English Voice Actor: Zeno Robinson
- Debut Anime Episode: Season 3, Episode 6; “Cog”
“I just love to fight,” is the most overused motivation in battle shonen history, but it tends to be tied to some rather entertaining characters. Kashimo embodies this mantra in Jujutsu Kaisen, although he seeks one fight in particular: Sukuna. 400 years before the story’s events, Kashimo was pretty much the strongest sorcerer around, and he grew bored with his weak opponents. However, near death, he made a deal with Kenjaku that let him reincarnate during the Culling Game arc, all to fight the strongest spirit ever to exist.
Ability-wise, Kashimo is not only extremely powerful, but his cursed energy is also unique because he uses electricity. His innate technique requires a big sacrifice and is a one-time nuke option, making it one of the deadliest weapons in JJK. Narratively, Kashimo provides an interesting look into the loneliness of strength, at least for people defined by it. He struggles to relate to anyone, leaving him feeling completely disconnected from humanity.
Best Power: Kashimo’s innate technique, Mythical Beast Amber, turns his body into electricity, allowing him to move at the speed of light and destroy objects with high-frequency waves. His body breaks down after this technique is used, so it is a one-and-done deal.
