The wife of British fitness influencer George Armstrong has apologized after using his Instagram account to accuse him of cheating on her.
Bailey Scarlett posted a series of stories to Armstrong’s account on October 2, written as though he were confessing to infidelity. Armstrong, who runs online coaching business Physique Academy, has more than 300,000 followers and regularly posts about discipline and self-improvement.
The stories were deleted within hours, but screenshots spread quickly across social media.
Scarlett later shared an apology to both her and Armstrong’s Instagram accounts.
Instagram: bailey.scarlett“I want to apologise for the statements I posted humiliating George,” she wrote, adding that the posts “came from a deep place of hurt and a feeling of betrayal.”
She also walked back her central claim, saying the behavior she described “did not occur during the time of our relationship,” and that it “should have been dealt with in private and not aired on social media.”
“It was immature and I take full responsibility for my actions,” she wrote, attributing the posts to her mental health and saying she is working with professionals to get help.
Armstrong addressed the situation in a separate statement on his Instagram Stories.

He added that he wouldn’t be discussing private details publicly, out of respect for Scarlett and their family.
“I forgive Bailey for what has happened publicly,” he said. “She is a genuinely good-hearted person, someone I care about deeply, and most importantly, she is the mother of my child.”
