The Elbaf arc of One Piece has been significant when it comes to introducing new abilities to us. Given that the primary power system of One Piece is Devil Fruits, introduced to us in the very first chapter of the series, this power has been expanded upon significantly. The Elbaf arc in particular has introduced a lot of exciting Devil Fruits to us, spanning over Paramecia and Zoan types.
Among these Devil Fruits, however, only three are known to hold legendary status. These three legendary Devil Fruits rank among the very strongest in the world of One Piece and are set to play a significant role both in the climax of the arc and in the war to come after.
One Piece Unveils Akuma no Mi, Risu Risu no Mi, Model: Ratatoskr, And Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhhoggr in Elbaf
The Elbaf arc of One Piece has introduced us to quite a lot of powerful legendary Devil Fruits, starting with the Nidhoggr Fruit, known to have been passed down through the royal family of Elbaf. This Devil Fruit was officially explained to us properly in One Piece chapter 1175, released on March 2, 2026, in Shonen Jump Issue 14. In this chapter, Eiichiro Oda gave us a proper look at the largest dragon in the entire world, the Nidhoggr, wielded by none other than the Accursed Prince Loki. At the same time, it was Lord Jarul who explained to us the fact that the power of the Nidhoggr Devil Fruit is a legendary one passed down through the royal family of Elbaf. That said, this ability was not eaten by anyone for centuries. This is because the fruit chooses its own owner and only went to the second coming of the God of War who existed long ago in Elbaf and even dueled with the Sun God Nika. This person is none other than Loki, whose strength is known to be legendary in just about every way.
“The Mythical Zoan Ryu Ryu no Mi…it is said that whoever eats it can transform into the largest dragon in the whole world. The size of the creature is relative to the initial size of whoever ate the fruit. They say this dragon breathes lightning, and when it flies, its jet-black wings turn day into night.” — Jarul explains Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhhoggr, One Piece Chapter #1175
The second legendary Devil Fruit introduced to us in the Elbaf arc was Nerona Imu’s Akuma no Mi, which was officially introduced in One Piece chapter 1179 on April 5, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 19. This Devil Fruit is unique and quite easily one of the strongest that we have seen in the entire story. It allows Imu to transform into the Demon God and control an ability known as God’s Domination. It also grants him a bunch of unique transformations, as well as the ability to manipulate black flames known as Omen. The true power of this Devil Fruit has still not fully been revealed, given that Imu is quite nerfed in Elbaf, as confirmed in One Piece chapter 1182, and it will only be expanded upon further in the upcoming chapters.

Finally, there is the power of the Risu Risu no Mi, Model: Ratatoskr, which is the Devil Fruit ability wielded by the hammer Ragnir. It was formerly wielded by the Ice Squirrel Ratatoskr, who fought alongside the God of War of Elbaf. After the death of the God of War, its ability was transferred to the hammer. Now it is being wielded by none other than Loki. The power of this Devil Fruit was officially confirmed to be legendary in One Piece chapter 1183, which was officially released on May 25, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump issue 26.

One Piece Also Sets Up Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Zaza
While three legendary Devil Fruits have already been confirmed to us in the climax of the Elbaf arc, there are other legendary Devil Fruits that have been set up here that will be revealed later down the line in the story. The biggest example of that is Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Zaza, which Eiichiro Oda officially set up in One Piece chapter 1182 on May 10, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 24. In this chapter, Killingham, one of the Holy Knights, mentioned that there are three things that the Celestial Dragons fear the most. They are the Sun God Nika, the Rain God Zaza, and finally, the people of the D.
“We were born in a place so high, it’s above all the rain clouds. Water coming down from the sky? It’s a mysterious terror! After the people of D and Nika, it was the most common boogeyman they warned us about…that in the lower world, there’s a monster called the Rain God that dumps water on top of your head!” — Saint Killingham explains Zaza, One Piece Chapter #1182
The Rain God Zaza is thus a very powerful entity that is set to make its appearance at some point later down the line, just as the Sun God Nika did through Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. Currently, an MMA version of Zaza exists in Elbaf, but the real deal should make its appearance at some point in the final saga. We are eagerly waiting to see Oda introduce Zaza into the story, especially through a character that opposes the World Government, as confirmed by Killingham himself. The power of Zaza could potentially belong to none other than Princess Vivi of the Arabasta Kingdom, given that it was officially stated that Zaza only comes to prayers for rain.
“Appearing to the rhythm of the prayers for rain…Rain God Zaza!” — Saint Killingham, One Piece Chapter #1182
Why More Legendary Devil Fruits Will Be Revealed After Elbaf
One Piece will get even more intense following the events of the Elbaf arc, and as was the case with this arc, there are going to be more legendary Devil Fruits revealed with time. For instance, there are the Forest God and Earth God powers that we have not been introduced to in the story. Monkey D. Dragon’s Devil Fruit also remains to be seen, and there are other powerful characters who could potentially hold on to legendary abilities that Oda has yet to introduce.
The story is going to get even more intense, and with Gods being introduced left, right, and center, One Piece is sure to introduce more legendary Devil Fruits with time. We are eagerly waiting to see what new abilities Oda introduces over the course of the next few months, and hopefully, all these abilities live up to our expectations.
