Rocket League pro Kofyr has been banned from Rocket League Championship Series tournaments and all other Psyonix-affiliated competitions until the end of 2027 following allegations about his behavior toward women at an after-party.
Kofyr’s ban comes days after a clip circulated online in which streamer Bails discussed an unnamed North American pro who allegedly touched multiple women at the RLCS Worlds after-party.
The clip was shared by Delmin on September 27. Bails said, “One of the NA pros decided to touch many women’s *sses.” He also claimed the player arrived drunk and was underage, while ruling out Diaz, Spacestation Gaming, and NRG.
Bails did not name the player, but social media users quickly began speculating that he was referring to Kofyr.
Kofyr banned from RLCS over inappropriate behavior
Kofyr addressed the situation on September 28, apologizing for “making anyone uncomfortable” with his behavior.
“I have reached out to the people I made uncomfortable with my actions directly and my plan of action is seeking professional help,” he wrote. Kofyr also said he planned to donate to a women’s sexual assault charity, take a break from social media and work on becoming a better person.
His statement did not describe the specific conduct at issue or explicitly use the term sexual assault.
Rocket League Esports announced the ban on September 30, saying Kofyr had violated Section 7.1.3 of the RLCS code of conduct.
“Kofyr has been banned from Rocket League Championship Series tournaments and all additional Psyonix-affiliated competitions until the end of 2027 because he violated our code of conduct section 7.1.3,” the organization wrote.
Section 7.1.3 prohibits conduct that is disruptive, unsafe, destructive or harmful to other Rocket League users. It specifically includes harassing or disrespectful conduct and unlawful activity.
Psyonix did not publicly provide further details about the incident, identify any complainants or explain what evidence led to the disciplinary decision.
