A clip of Korean Kick streamer Taemin recently went viral after he appeared flabbergasted by American tipping culture. In the clip, the cashier asks him to answer a few questions shown on the screen, which displays several tipping options ranging from $2 to $4, alongside a no-tip option. Taemin then points at something behind the cashier as a distraction, quickly tapping the no-tip option instead.
This clip resurfaced on platforms including X and Reddit. Social media users shared their reactions to the Korean streamer’s encounter with American tipping culture. They wrote:
“I’ll never forget when I went to a concert and went to go buy a band shirt and the checkout had a tip option. Like thanks for bending down and picking that overpriced cotton out of the box for me,” stated SleepyxCapybara on Reddit.
