Social media users react to AEW’s announcement stating that Benjamin Satterley has passed away at the age of 40.
On September 27, 2026, AEW announced the death of Benjamin “Pac” Satterley. Although the company did not reveal a cause of death in its X post, it shared an outline of his career and offered condolences to his family and friends. Saying he had “competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history,” they wrote:
“All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac. A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability. Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.”
Following Satterley’s sudden death, social media users shared their thoughts on the announcement. They wrote:

Before his death, Pac wrestled Andrade El Idolo at AEW All Out, where he competed for the AEW National Championship. His death came as a shock, as the wrestler was still active in the ring just a day before his passing.

Benjamin Satterley started his wrestling career in 2004 and expanded his presence to other organizations, including Dragon Gate. After signing with WWE in 2012, he competed in NXT, where he won the NXT Championship and became a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion. He also went on to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship in 2017. Pac signed with AEW in 2019 and worked for the promotion until his passing. He earned the distinction of AEW’s first double champion, holding the International and Trios titles at the same time.
