In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, sorcerer clans are especially important, given that they carry special Inherited Techniques. These techniques form the basis for the vast majority of the prominent figures in the world to establish their dominance. Among all the sorcerer clans that exist in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, the Big Three Families of Kamo, Zenin, and Gojo stand at the very top. At the end of Jujutsu Kaisen on September 30, 2024, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 44, Gege Akutami showed that the Big Three Families had changed forever and, in many ways, gotten weaker.
Now, decades after the conclusion of the Sukuna raid, the Big Three Families have shifted even more significantly, especially after Yuji’s removal of Cursed Energy from the next generation of sorcerers. It has now been confirmed that the Gojo family has taken the lead by quite a margin and stands on top as the strongest new sorcerer clan in the entire world.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s New Ending Makes Gojo Clan The Strongest In Japan
At the end of Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami, it was quite clear to see that the Big 3 Families had shifted quite a lot. As far as the Zenin go, Maki took care of them in the Perfect Preparation Arc before the Culling Game even began. The Zenin essentially met their end with her, and Megumi and Maki were the last two remaining members of the clan. Following the events of the Shinjuku Showdown, Megumi’s life remains shrouded in history, and all we know is that he ended up dying before both Yuji and Nobara. It is unclear if he had any children or if he continued the Zenin clan in any way. Meanwhile, Maki married Yuta Okkotsu, and she ended up becoming a part of the Gojo Clan thanks to Yuta being the head of this family after the fall of Gojo Satoru.

In the special one-shot chapter that came out with Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 30 on December 24, 2024, Gege Akutami showed quite clearly that the Gojo Clan had grown tremendously in terms of power and influence. This is largely due to the other two Clans falling from grace. The Zenin did not exist any longer apart from Megumi Fushiguro, while the Kamo clan had been dealt tremendous amounts of damage by Kenjaku, with Noritoshi having no intention of continuing their archaic belief system. As such, the Gojo Clan stood uncontested at the very top, and they even got hold of the vast majority of the weapons of the Zenin Clan. All these weapons were stored in the Gojo Clan Inventory. On top of already having access to the Inherited Cursed Technique of the Limitless, as well as the trait of the Six Eyes, they now gained access to the Ten Shadows Technique as well through Yuka Okkotsu.
Why The Gojo Clan Holds The Strongest Sorcerers
In the modern era of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami has officially confirmed that the Gojo clan holds more than just one powerful inherited technique. Traditionally, the Gojo clan only holds access to the Limitless Cursed Technique and the Cursed Trait of Six Eyes. The last wielder of the Limitless was none other than Gojo Satoru, who died in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236, which was officially released on September 25, 2024. He was also the last wielder of the Six Eyes and the first in 400 years to be born with both of these abilities at the same time. Since then, no member of the Gojo family has been revealed to hold either of the two powers, let alone both at the same time. The Gojo family has, however, gained access to other powerful techniques as well, such as the Ten Shadows Technique.
In the modern era that Gege Akutami expanded upon in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, it is quite clear that the Ten Shadows Technique has now passed over to the Gojo Family thanks to Yuka Okkotsu. This means that, on top of having Limitless as well as the Six Eyes, the Gojo clan now has Mahoraga as well, which makes them the undisputed strongest clan.

If that wasn’t enough, it was also confirmed in Modulo that the Gojo family has the vast majority of the Cursed Tools that previously belonged to the Zenin Clan. All of these tools are stored in the inventory warehouse of the Gojo Family, which is currently accessible to Yuji Itadori as well. This warehouse holds access to a ton of powerful cursed tools and other weapons that are believed to be invaluable to sorcerers. With such tremendous power at their disposal, it is no surprise to note that the Gojo family stands at the very top of the ranking order in Japan.
The Gojo Clan Inventory Will Make Future Generations The Strongest
In Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, Yuji Itadori went ahead with the removal of Cursed Energy completely in Modulo Chapter 24, which was released on March 2, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 14. Fans might assume that this would be the end of the Gojo family because no one else in the future would be born with the power of the Limitless or the Ten Shadows technique. However, the Gojo family still holds access to the vast majority of the powerful Cursed Tools that exist in the world. Yuji Itadori himself stated in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 25 that he intends to use the Cursed Tools in their inventory, mass-produce them, and equip the next generation of Heavenly Restriction users with them. In that sense, the Gojo family still holds the strongest power of all clans to exist in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen.
If there was ever any doubt, the Gojo family is still by far the strongest. With Tsurugi Okkotsu and Yuka Okkotsu still holding on to their legendary powers, along with Rika, there is no denying the fact that they reign supreme at the very top. Even after the current era ends and Cursed Techniques are no more, the vast majority of the powerful weapons will still belong to the Gojo clan, which they will most certainly have a monopoly over. This will give them a massive edge over the others for centuries to come and once again ensure that they remain the absolute strongest in the future as well.
