Southern breakfast chain Biscuitville has earned the title of the US’ best fast-food breakfast, beating some much bigger chains to the prize.
Fast-food restaurant Biscuitville operates just 90 locations across three states, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The regional chain is known for its traditional Southern breakfast.
It has won “America’s best fast-food breakfast” for the last three years, and has now done it again for a fourth year, beating chains such as McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A, and more.
Farmer Boys came second and Del Taco came third
Biscuitville is famed for the eponymous biscuits baked from scratch from a family recipe every 15 minutes. “We get comments all the time from our feedback line that say, ‘Your biscuit tastes just like my grandmother’s biscuit,” the restaurant’s chief marketing officer, Kristie Mitchell, told Fox News.
The biscuits come with bacon, egg, cheese, or fried chicken. The restaurant also offers southern staples like country gravy and grits.
According to USAToday’s 10Best, Biscuitville placed first overall, with Farmer Boys and Del Taco taking home silver and bronze medals respectively. McDonald’s placed fourth, Chick-fil-A fifth, Burger King sixth, and Wendy’s seventh.
Mitchell spoke further about the restaurants continued success and lack of complacency. “We have earned it, but we don’t want to live in a space where we come to expect it,” she said. The marketing officer also revealed that the restaurant hopes to expand into other states like Tennessee and Georgia.
