Costco is already getting into the Halloween spirit with a monstrous new chocolate creation that shoppers can smash open with an included hammer to uncover a stash of gummy body parts.
The warehouse retailer has started selling the Monster Smash Chocolate from Ten Acre Gifts, a giant green head inspired by Frankenstein’s Monster.
The creation weighs 5.5 pounds and is made from Belgian milk chocolate, complete with brown hair, stitches and the creature’s signature neck bolts.
However, the real horror show is hiding inside.
Costco’s chocolate monster comes with a mallet
The hollow head contains more than a pound of fruit-flavored gummies shaped like body parts, including brains, eyeballs, fingers and teeth.
Costco even includes a wooden mallet so buyers can crack open the monster’s skull and feast on what is inside. It is certainly one way to get ahead on Halloween preparations.
The edible experiment has been spotted at Costco warehouses for $54.99, although prices and availability may differ between locations. Given its size, the chocolate beast could be ideal for a Halloween party or anyone looking to resurrect their candy supply.
It is not Costco’s first smashable chocolate creation either. Earlier in 2026, the retailer unleashed a $140, 10-pound chocolate Easter bunny that also came with a hammer.
The retailer has built a reputation for products that take the concept of buying in bulk to terrifying new heights. One study even calculated how much money shoppers spend during every minute inside Costco.
Costco’s latest creation may cost a little more than a standard bag of Halloween candy, but it offers plenty of bang for your buck. Just don’t lose your head when swinging the mallet.
