Shirtless man arrested after dancing on truck crossing NYC bridge

A man was arrested after he was filmed dancing on the back of a moving semi-trailer while it crossed the George Washington Bridge into New York City.

The unusual scene unfolded at around 11 a.m. on September 3, as a flatbed truck traveled across the upper level of the bridge over the Hudson River. Video captured by another driver showed the shirtless man moving around the trailer while traffic continued alongside him.

Video of the incident was posted to TikTok by user John Ortiz, who filmed Crawford from inside the cab of another truck.

Drivers tried to warn trucker about man dancing on trailer

Crawford could be seen jumping and dancing around the moving flatbed, at one point grabbing his crotch and appearing to sing toward passing motorists.

He eventually made his way toward the front of the trailer, climbing onto a raised section directly behind the truck’s cab before jumping back down and continuing to dance.

Other vehicles continued traveling behind the truck throughout the incident, while drivers repeatedly honked in an apparent attempt to alert the trucker.

“There’s a guy!” Ortiz shouted toward the driver as his vehicle passed the truck.

It remains unclear how Crawford got onto the trailer or whether the driver knew someone was riding on the back of the vehicle.

Port Authority Police removed Crawford from the trailer following the crossing and arrested him on multiple charges, including aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

Crawford was taken to a hospital for further evaluation following his arrest. Officials have not released additional details surrounding the incident.

The incident comes after another viral stunt on a New York City bridge led to arrests earlier this year. Two teenagers were charged after a TikTok stunt on the Queensboro Bridge left a 15-year-old boy trapped inside a bridge shaft, prompting an emergency rescue.
