With Luffy vs. Imu taking a new turn this week, all eyes are now on One Piece Chapter 1193, which is set for release on September 13, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #42. Fans will be able to read the chapter at 11 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, and it will continue the battle that is currently ongoing in the Underworld of the Warland Elbaf as this arc edges closer to its conclusion.
One Piece Chapter 1193 will give us a look at Nerona Imu’s counterattack against Luffy and Loki. At the same time, it will give us a proper look at Luffy’s Wings, Zoro, and Sanji, as they head into their own battles against the Holy Knights.
One Piece Chapter 1193 Could Show Imu Overpowering Gear 5 Luffy And Loki
One Piece Chapter 1192 was exciting for Luffy and his allies as they struck back against Nerona Imu in the Underworld of Elbaf. Even though Imu used his powerful weapons to create the Shield of Emptiness, Luffy and Loki used their own powers to strike back against the King of the WORLD and deal deadly damage with Gomu Gomu no Dawn Thor Bullet. This attack certainly caused a lot of damage to Imu, but fans should not get carried away. One Piece Chapter 1193 will most likely show Imu resurgent and bring out even more powers from his Akuma no Mi. It must be remembered that Imu is the ultimate villain of One Piece. Even though he is tremendously nerfed in Elbaf right now and has already fought quite a lot of powerful enemies, he is still going to dominate moving forward.
One Piece Chapter 1193 will likely unveil new powers from Nerona Imu’s Akuma no Mi. Perhaps, Imu will show new fusions of his Creator’s Weapons to deal deadly damage to the likes of Luffy and Loki. He could also showcase other capabilities that he possesses, derived from the power of Omen. In either case, Nerona Imu is going to be incredibly difficult to stop from here onwards, and chances are that Luffy and Loki are going to be on the back foot again. Strong as they are, both Luffy and Loki are on their last legs already and have suffered a tremendous amount of damage. Given Nerona Imu’s incredible arsenal of weapons, he is still in a far better position than them, and One Piece Chapter 1193 will most certainly go on to show that on September 13, 2026.
Imu May Unleash Deadly Akuma no Mi Powers In The Next Chapter
Ever since his arrival in Elbaf in One Piece Chapter 1179 on April 5, 2026, Nerona Imu has shown incredibly exciting abilities stemming from his legendary Akuma no Mi. He continues to surprise us with new ways to fight and showcase unique transformations and abilities one after another. Chapter 1193 is likely to be no different in that regard, and since the powers of the Akuma no Mi have not been fully explored, we might see Oda do just that. In fact, we probably have only scratched the surface when it comes to what this fruit is capable of. One Piece Chapter 1193 will most likely show us more of Imu’s legendary Devil Fruit power. We could potentially see Luffy in some trouble.
Given that Chapter 1192 essentially took out Hajrudin from the main fight, it is possible that Chapter 1193 will kick Loki out of the main fight, leaving the showdown for Luffy and Imu. Even then, Imu will likely be dominant in the battle against Luffy. Gear 5 is clearly not enough to take him down, as has already been established in the story. This would also then allow Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji to shine in battle, because the defense of Elbaf will largely be reliant on whether they are able to kill the Holy Knights to weaken Nerona and Imu or not.
Zoro And Sanji Vs Sommers and Killingham Will Continue In One Piece 1193
The last time we saw Zoro and Sanji in their respective battles was in One Piece chapter 1189, which was released on July 26, 2026. Since then, their battles have not been continued by Oda. Now is the perfect time for the author to do so, because as Nerona Imu grows in battle in One Piece chapter 1193, the need for them to put down Sommers and Killingham grows as well. The Elbaf arc is now close to its very end, and for Zoro and Sanji to defeat their enemies now would be absolutely perfect.
One Piece chapter 1193 might give us some glimpses of the Holy Knight battles, and it might also aid towards Zoro and Sanji finally mastering Supreme King Haki. Only by doing that can they fight effectively against the Holy Knights and defeat them for good. It must be said, however, that it is highly unlikely for the Holy Knights to be defeated in One Piece chapter 1193. All we should be expecting is a massive step taken towards reaching that outcome in the next chapter. Zoro and Sanji defeating or potentially even killing Sommers and Killingham is extremely important for the overarching narrative in Elbaf. Only by losing Holy Knights can Imu drop in overall power level, and as such, Luffy’s victory against Imu is largely reliant on how well his Wings perform in their own respective battles. In that sense, their win is massively important, and we can only hope that Oda continues to focus on the Wings in the upcoming chapters.
One Piece Release Schedule After Chapter 1193
The Elbaf arc doesn’t have long left now, and should wrap up within the next 10 to 15 chapters, at the very least. It is looking increasingly likely for Luffy to succeed in his defense of Elbaf, but defeating Nerona Imu is a completely different question altogether. It is likely that Imu will simply run out of time in Elbaf, especially after Sommers and Killingham fall. The story of One Piece is going to take a massive twist here, and we absolutely cannot wait to see what Eiichiro Oda has planned next.
With the release of One Piece Chapter 1193 on September 13, fans should remember that Chapter 1194 is not going to follow immediately after. Oda has been on a very unpredictable release schedule as of late, but with two chapters in a row already, fans may have expected the author to release another one before heading off on a break. Unfortunately, Japan has another holiday in two weeks’ time, which means that the entire Shonen Jump magazine will be on break. In that sense, One Piece Chapter 1194 should be released officially on September 27, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump #44. After that, One Piece is likely to head off on another break. This also means that the intensity of the next two chapters is going to be very high, and we can only hope that Oda delivers on the expectations and, as usual, surpasses them.
