Willem Dafoe has gone viral once again after unleashing another collection of bizarre poses during a new magazine photoshoot.
The 71-year-old actor appears in A Rabbit’s Foot Issue 16, with photographer Daniel Sannwald capturing the star contorting himself across a studio in Rome.
Titled The Chameleon, the shoot features Dafoe stretching across the floor, folding his body into yoga-like positions, balancing on furniture and staring intensely into the camera while holding a candle.
It is far from the first time Dafoe has transformed a photoshoot into a full-body performance. Another set of unusual images taken for Collectible DRY Issue 31 spread widely online in June 2026, while older GQ Italia pictures have repeatedly resurfaced as memes.

The newest pictures quickly circulated across social media, where one popular X post declared: “New Willem Dafoe poses just dropped!!!”
“Allergic to a normal pose but a magnet for aura,” one Reddit user wrote. Another predicted the pictures would be “great for the meme economy,” while one fan imagined that photographers simply “let him loose in a room and watch what happens.”
Others were more impressed by the actor’s flexibility, with several commenters identifying some of his positions as yoga poses. “The man loves a forward fold,” one joked.
Dafoe addressed his unusually committed approach to magazine shoots during the accompanying interview. After dismantling and stacking pieces of a prop table while music played in the studio, he admitted: “Sometimes, I don’t know why I do these things.”
“But if I’m going to do it, I may as well do it right,” he added.
