Financial creator Caleb Hammer recently shared his reaction on social media after getting the chance to experience Tesla’s Cybercab robotaxi.
On September 3, 2026, Hammer shared a post from Tesla on X promoting its Cybercab robotaxi service in Austin, Texas. The post highlighted the company’s latest push toward autonomous transportation.
Hammer said he had recently tried the Cybercab himself and appeared impressed by what he experienced. He also praised Musk for bringing the technology to life, describing the development as a sign that the future of transportation is already arriving:
“Just had one of the first rides ever. Game changer. Comfy, huge space, smooth as f***. The future is here. Well done, Elon.”
Hammer later shared another post on the same date showing himself inside one of the self-driving vehicles. He wrote the caption of the post:
“Cybercab. Thrilled to be alive during a period of incredible human innovation.”
During the ride, Hammer appeared surprised by how comfortable the experience was. His reaction suggested that the technology had made a stronger impression on him than he may have expected before getting inside the vehicle:
“Oh, it’s comfy. This is nice. Wow.”
Elon Musk Described What a Tesla Cybercab Is
Tesla’s Cybercab has moved closer to becoming a part of everyday transportation after the company began rolling out the driverless vehicle in Austin, Texas. On September 3, 2026, Musk took to X to briefly explain what the Cybercab actually is as attention around Tesla’s latest vehicle grew:
“Cybercabs have no steering wheels or pedals. They are designed and built for maximally efficient autonomous operation.”
Unlike a regular Tesla, the Cybercab does not have a steering wheel or traditional pedals. It is designed to operate without a human driver, using cameras and sensors to navigate roads, intersections, and parking areas. Tesla describes it as a two-seat vehicle with butterfly doors and a large touchscreen inside the cabin.
The vehicle is intended to carry passengers as part of Tesla’s autonomous ride-hailing network. Riders can use Tesla’s Robotaxi service to request a trip, with the Cybercab handling the driving itself.
The Cybercab is also different from Tesla’s earlier robotaxi efforts because it was built from the start around autonomous operation. Tesla had previously used modified Model Y vehicles for its robotaxi service, while the Cybercab was designed specifically to serve as a driverless taxi.
