American podcaster Myron Gaines shared his reaction to D4VD’s private attorneys formally withdrawing from his case. On September 1, 2026, the podcaster reposted the announcement and believes the singer is on his last legs.

One judge allowed a public defender to represent the singer in his case. According to TMZ, the attorneys revealed the court accepted their request to leave as the singer’s legal counsel. While the original attorneys left the case, they believe the singer is in good hands.
After the singer’s original team of lawyers withdrew from the case, Myron Gaines wasted no time sharing his reaction. The singer was linked to the death of Celeste Rivas-Hernandez. D4VD’s legal team entered a not guilty plea during his arrest in April 2026. According to recent reports, the private attorneys have yet to disclose the reason for abandoning the case but offered their support to the singer.
“This morning the court granted our request to withdraw as counsel and appointed the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, after it was determined D4VD qualified for appointed counsel.”
The attorneys continued by saying they are confident in the public defender’s ability to help D4VD throughout his case.
“We continue to support David and his defense against these serious charges. We are grateful that the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office has taken over the representation and that David has a highly capable and committed team of attorneys and investigators behind him.”
The case is still ongoing, and D4VD will appear in court on October 19, 2026, for a mandatory pre-trial conference.
