Resident Evil fans will soon be able to stand beneath a towering Lady Dimitrescu and come face to face with Albert Wesker as part of a new exhibition celebrating the series’ 30th anniversary.
Have you ever wanted to stand beneath the big vampire lady from Resident Evil, or maybe you’re curious to see what a life-size Leon Kennedy and Wesker would look like? Well, fans in Japan will be able to have their curiosities sated when The World of Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Exhibition comes to Tokyo.
The exciting experience will let visitors delve into the series’ history through original videos, behind-the-scenes production materials, purchase collectible merch, and take photos alongside life-size sculptures.
Resident Evil exhibition celebrates 30 years of horror
One of its biggest attractions is a seated sculpture of Resident Evil Village’s Lady Dimitrescu, the towering vampire lady who famously chases Ethan Winters around her spooky castle in Resi 8.
Despite being seated, Lady D stands at a whopping 9 feet 6 inches (approximately 290cm) and will be waiting to greet visitors who dare to enter the exhibition.
According to the translated website, the BIG vampire lady will be located inside an area designed to make visitors feel as though they have been infected by the game’s mutamycete mold and are experiencing hallucinations (fun!).
The exhibition will also unveil a life-sized Albert Wesker sculpture, giving fans the chance to see the iconic villain in all his sunglass-wearing glory. As for where visitors will find Wesker, he’ll be standing in an area dedicated to Las Plagas and its grotesque army of infected creatures.
A life-sized Leon S. Kennedy sculpture is also being produced for the exhibition, so if things get a little too much, you can always run over to him and snap a calming photo of the cool-headed hero.
Visitors will also be able to see memorable scenes from the series, learn about Resident Evil’s biological disasters, and see displays that showcase creepy creatures. Resident Evil’s heroes will also receive their own dedicated area, allowing fans to learn about the protagonists who have survived the franchise’s deadliest encounters.
There’s also a shop that will sell zombie plushies, Licker slippers, a moving zombie dog, a Mr. Raccoon keychain, ammunition case tablets, and a tofu survivor bath toy.
The World of Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Exhibition will take place at the Shibuya Beam in Tokyo from October 30 until December 24, 2026. Adult tickets start at ¥3,000 (around $18) and go all the way up to ¥13,600 for weekend/holiday tickets that come with limited bonus content.
While the Resi exhibition is exciting, it’s not the only time the series has held an IRL event. Back in February, a synthetically produced sample of the game’s deadly T-Virus went on display in Tokyo.
