Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Just Got a Brand-New Update for August 2026

The latest update for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has arrived as Arc System Works continues to address various issues on both the PC and PS5 versions of the game, while also adding a new suit for Wolverine players. After plenty of anticipation prior to its release, there’s no denying that some of the excitement has dissipated as Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has seen plenty of struggles on the PC side.

While the PS5 has largely been unaffected by many of the big PC issues, Arc System Works has continued to try and address the biggest issues with the game, including fixing various performance issues with the game. In addition to a massive Day 1 patch for Marvel Tokon, ArcSys has released a couple of updates which have done a lot to fix the problems, though many still remain. The studio has admitted that it may be extremely challenging to win some players back at this point, but it hasn’t stopped the devs from trying. The latest update for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is now available to download.

The latest update has arrived and while it isn’t quite as robust as previous patches for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, this one does offer additional fixes and improvements to the overall experience. In addition to crash fixes, the update helps to stabilize the online experience with new Match Settings to allow players to further customize the area being used when searching for opponents. PC players are also encouraged to run and complete the shaders warm-up process before playing, as ArcSys confirms it’ll result in a smoother and “more optimal” experience.

The update also touches on Marvel Tokon‘s unique Arcadia Rumble mode as well. Arcadia Rumble can be played online or solo and combines the open lobby with actual matches. Players battle to complete actions on the Open Lobby map, such as collecting items before being whisked away for proper 1v1 battles against each other. Specifically, Battle Arcadia saw adjustments to how the network is processed, hopefully resulting in better stability during matches. In addition, a bug that caused an NPC character taking over for a disconnected human player to become unresponsive should now be fixed as well.

Besides the continued improvements, this August 28 update also finally added Wolverine’s Battle Reborn suit to Marvel Tokon. The costume was originally announced at ComicCon 2026 and is based on Insomniac’s version of the character in its upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine game. As a special crossover moment, Wolverine’s Marvel Tokon costume will also be available in Insomniac’s game, letting players run around as a more animated-looking version of the character. Insomniac’s Marvel games have a long history of giving players plenty of suits and outfits to play around with, so the announcement here shouldn’t be too surprising.

At this point, fans are likely wondering when Arc System Works plans to begin adding DLC characters into the game. While Phoenix Cyclops has already been revealed for Marvel Tokon, there are still 3 spots open for what is being referred to as Year 1. There have been a few datamined characters as well, such as Daredevil and Doctor Strange, along with what appears to be some sort of potential Battle Pass details. For now, fans should take the leaks with a grain of salt until Marvel or Arc System Works officially reveals them.

⚠️ Known Issues

We are aware of an issue where the help text “Cannot be set if “Match Area” is set to “All.” was incorrectly displayed when setting the Connection Speed in the Matching Setting screen.

When Match Area is set to “All” while a Connection Speed limit is applied, matchmaking may take longer. If setting Match Area to “All,” we recommend also setting Connection Speed to “All.”

We apologize for any confusion caused by the incorrect information.

📝 Additional Notes

After updating the game, replays created in previous versions will no longer be searchable or playable.

Locally saved replays will remain on your system, but will not be available for playback.

PC players should run and complete the shader warm-up before playing for a smoother and more optimal experience.

Thanks for your continued reports and feedback. These fixes are part of our ongoing work to improve performance, stability, and the overall experience.
