The next big festival is coming to Heartopia, bringing a new collection of rewards, limited-time items, special activities, and two stylish Wild Pulse outfits. The Echo of Ancients Festival begins on August 29, 2026, giving players plenty to look forward to as the summer season winds down.

From collecting rare fish and insects to mining slabs and cooking festival recipes, there is a lot happening during the event. This guide covers the Heartopia Echo of Ancients release time, festival dates, rewards, activities, and everything worth knowing before the event begins.

The Echo of Ancients Festival starts on August 29, 2026, at 6:00 AM Server Time. The main Town Festival will run until October 10, 2026, at 5:59 AM Server Time. Players who meet the requirements can access the festival once it begins.

To unlock Echo of Ancients, you’ll first need to reach D.G. Member Level 7 and complete the Main Story quest “The Answer Lies Within.”

Some festival content has its own schedule, so not every activity will remain available for the entire season. For example, the limited birds become available on September 5, while the Festival Collector’s Challenge runs from September 12 through September 26.

The Time Limited Exhibition Passes earned from the festival can be used from August 29, 2026, through October 17, 2026, at 5:59 AM Server Time.

This means there is a little extra time to use the Exhibition Passes after the main festival ends.

What to Expect From Heartopia’s Echo of Ancients

Heartopia Whale Trough Location

Echo of Ancients is built around a festival catalog where players can complete challenges, collect Festival Points, and unlock rewards. Daily Requests also reward Festival Points throughout the event. Festival Tokens are the main currency used in the Echo of Ancients Festival Store.

The free catalog includes rewards such as the Unpolished Nest furniture set blueprint, Horn Totem Material Packs, Festival Tokens, Wishing Stars, and other materials.

There is also an exclusive collection quest. Completing collection objectives can reward 18 Time Limited Exhibition Passes, Material Packs, Wishing Stars, and access to limited Hobby collections.

You can access the festival store through the Echo of Ancients Catalog or by visiting Fashion Ambassador Azure. Tokens can be spent on event items including Solo Action, Bone Model Ornament, Calf Pet Sofa, Dodo Plushie Ornament, and Primitive Jumpsuit.

New Fish, Insects and Birds

The festival introduces Garfish, Firefly, Rhinoceros Beetle, and Hoopoe as limited collection targets. Garfish, Fireflies, and Rhinoceros Beetles become available on August 29 at 6:00 AM Server Time.

The Hoopoe arrives later, becoming available on September 5 at 6:00 AM Server Time.

New Flowers and Crops

Starting August 29 at 6:00 AM Server Time, limited ingredients and recipes become available from Massimo’s Cooking Store. Players can use the Simple Clay Stove to prepare the festival’s special foods.

The festival also introduces two limited plants. The Wynberg Conebush is a new flower, while Prickly Pear is the limited crop. Both can be purchased and planted starting August 29 at 6:00 AM Server Time.

Limited crops are worth picking up early, so there is enough time to grow and collect them during the event.

New Slab Mining Activity

Echo of Ancients also adds a new slab mining activity. The Developer’s Guild has placed minable slabs in the Onsen Mountain Ruins and Spirit Oak Pine Forest. Mining these areas can provide pieces for the Oak Slab and Capybara Slab, as well as Slabtime Gacha.

Parts from the same slab series can be placed together. Once all the required pieces are collected, they can be combined into a complete slab. This gives collectors another reason to explore areas that might otherwise be overlooked during the festival.

New Ocarina Instrument

A new musical instrument is also arriving with Echo of Ancients. Starting with this festival, players can purchase the Ocarina from Annie’s Music Store.

The Ocarina fits the festival’s nature-inspired theme and gives players another collectible to add to their collection.

Home Like Decorations

The festival also changes the look of the mailbox outside the Home. During Echo of Ancients, the mailbox decorations can upgrade depending on the number of Likes received. The more Likes a Home receives, the more the decorations develop.

It is a small festival feature, but it gives players another reason to interact with friends and visit each other’s Homes during the event.

Rhythm of Nature Event

The Rhythm of Nature event runs alongside the main festival from August 29 at 6:00 AM until October 10 at 5:59 AM Server Time.

To make progress, players need to perform a Face-to-Face 2 Person Interaction with a friend. Repeating this across seven days unlocks the limited exclusive Rhythm of Nature 2 Person Action with that friend.

Progress is tracked separately for each friend, so players can participate with multiple friends during the event.

Start this activity early on rather than waiting until the final weeks of the event. The seven-day requirement is a lot easier to manage when started near the beginning of the festival.

Primal Pulse Event

The second new event is Primal Pulse, which also runs from August 29 through October 10. Players can follow clues on the event page to locate hidden bubbles. Each bubble contains a mysterious emote gift that can be claimed. It’s definitely worth checking out.

How to Prepare for Echo of Ancients Event

Heartopia Cooking Hobby Guide

If you’re a new Heartopia player, make sure the festival requirements of reaching D.G. Member Level 7 are finished before August 29. It is also useful to keep some inventory space available. Echo of Ancients introduces limited ingredients, crops, fish, insects, birds, slab parts, and other collectible items, so storage can fill up quickly.

For collectors, the safest approach is to start gathering limited items as soon as they become available rather than leaving everything until the final week.
