S.H. Figuarts opened another round of preorders for its stunning My Hero Academia figure depicting Deku as he appears in the Dark Hero Arc of the series. After choosing to isolate himself and shoulder his burdens alone following the Paranormal Liberation War, the show’s hero transformed into someone more gritty and unstable. Now, fans of this intense segment of My Hero Academia can snag an incredibly detailed figure of Dark Deku, with preorders currently open.
Plenty of special events are taking place throughout 2026 to celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary. The Toho Animation YouTube channel is hosting early episodes of My Hero Academia for free as part of the ongoing celebration, and a new exhibition, titled “OUR HERO,” will be held in Tokyo from January 8 to February 7, 2027, before traveling to Osaka from March 5 to March 28, 2027. The event will feature numerous displays showcasing original production drawings and other visuals, along with 3D exhibits and video installations.
S.H. Figuarts Reveals Terrifying New Dark Deku Figure
Fans who missed the first round of preorders for S.H. Figuarts’ stunning Dark Deku figure are in luck, as the item is once again up for sale on Premium Bandai. The figure, which retails for ￥12,100 (around $76) and stands 140mm (approximately 5.5 inches) tall, comes with three interchangeable left and right wrist parts, two interchangeable face parts, an interchangeable front hair part and mark, and a set of Blackwhip parts. Those snagging Dark Deku can expect him to be delivered in March 2027.
On the sweeter and less creepy side of things, it was recently confirmed that My Hero Academia would be crossing over with 32 Marion Crepes locations throughout Japan, with fans able to snag exclusive merchandise and themed desserts. This is the most recent of many unique crossovers over the past year—in May, the Japanese company Shobido revealed a My Hero Academia-themed emergency kit, packed with 16 useful items themed after the series’ most popular characters, and a set of one-of-a-kind MHA woodblock prints has also hit the market in 2026.
The continued global popularity of My Hero Academia remains a driving force in the anime market, with Horikoshi’s manga series selling over 100 million copies. This puts Izuku’s adventure on par with other unforgettable series like Hunter x Hunter, Fist of the North Star, and Astro Boy, with its anime adaptation not falling far behind, having recently been awarded the Guinness World Record for most in-demand animated TV show in the world. While the series may have concluded, fans aren’t quite ready to let Izuku’s exciting adventure fade away just yet.

Fans in the US are also gearing up for the My Hero Academia concert tour slated to take place later in 2026. From September 12 to October 23, the event will travel to 30 locations in the United States, featuring a 15-piece live band. Attendees can expect to hear tracks from the entire series, and the most memorable moments will be shown on a huge screen behind the performers. Tickets are currently on sale at the official event website.
