YouTuber slams Tesla’s FSD system and an X user for praising Elon Musk despite being in a harrowing accident.

Popular tech YouTuber JerryRigEverything called out an X user for supporting Elon Musk even after the user was involved in a serious accident in a Tesla. JerryRigEverything is a vocal critic of Musk, having called out the tech billionaire numerous times on social media. On August 2, 2026, the YouTuber criticized X user @solidwillity in reply to his post detailing an accident involving a Tesla.
In his post, @solidwillity talked about getting into an accident while he was in a Tesla with FSD, or Full Self-Driving, turned on:
“I’m very lucky to be alive, I was worried I was gonna go blind in my left eye. I was a passenger and FSD was on, so it’s honestly just made me really curious. How does perception actually work? How does the car identify and classify objects? Is all the inference done on the vehicle?”
However, after claiming he was hospitalized and was afraid he would go blind in one eye, the X user said he still supports Elon Musk, writing:
“Imma always support @elonmusk and I’ll always have tremendous respect for everyone at @Tesla and @Tesla_AI pushing the boundaries of engineering to help humanity. Engineering is extremely hard and no matter how hard you try you can’t get all edge cases. But I genuinely want to understand the engineering challenges behind FSD and autonomous driving.”
While @solidwillity did ask Tesla some questions, JerryRigEverything was critical of how he still praised Elon Musk. In reply to the post, the YouTuber mockingly pointed out that it was Tesla’s FSD that caused the accident:
“FSD almost killed me. Blinded me. Totaled my car. And landed me with tens of thousands worth of medical bills. ‘But I’ll always support Elon Musk’. EDS will need to be studied.”
The YouTuber answered the X user’s question about FSD by claiming it was not as good a system as people think. He also put Elon Musk on blast and called him a liar:
“I’ll answer your questions though. FSD is a level 2 system pretending to be level 5. You’re trusting a liar with your life.”

YouTuber JerryRigEverything’s Criticism Of Tesla’s FSD

This is not the first time that the tech YouTuber criticized Tesla’s FSD. JerryRigEverything has a history of calling out the self-driving mode in Elon Musk’s cars. Most recently, he replied to a video on X where a Tesla reportedly crashed into a highway wall in FSD mode. The YouTuber did not hold back on his criticism of Tesla and Elon Musk, describing the error as “amateur hour level competency”. In the post from July 28, 2026, he wrote:
“FSD will never be unsupervised. This is amateur hour level competency from @Tesla and @elonmusk – that ‘Self Driving’ icon in the bottom should put Tesla on the hook for all damages… but watch them deny everything.”
The YouTuber is not a fan of how Tesla’s FSD supposedly uses a single camera in the back. In a post on the same day, JerryRigEverything claimed Tesla made a mistake by removing ultrasonic sensors while replying to a post:
“FSD will never be unsupervised. Single cameras can’t see depth. (That’s why you have 2 eyeballs and not one). @Tesla shot themselves in the foot removing the Ultrasonic sensors in 2022.”
A week before these posts, the YouTuber joked that Elon Musk should rename Tesla’s FSD because it is not full self-driving. In the post, JerryRigEverything wrote:
“The name should be ‘Pretty good Level 2 Drivers Assistance’ or PGL2DA for short.”
