As the Halloween event rolls into Roblox: A Dusty Trip, players are being lured down dusty desert roads not just for tricks and treats, but for a very special prize — the Spectra car. This hauntingly sleek vehicle isn’t just another ride: it’s a badge of dedication, unlocked only by completing five distinct and spooky challenges tied to this seasonal event. Whether you’re battling skeletal mutants in portals, ringing doorbells for candy, or driving through teleporting gateways, every action brings you closer to earning this coveted reward.
But how do you actually earn Spectra? That’s where things get more than a little tricky. The event tasks range from straightforward to grind-heavy, and spotting the portals, graves, and mutant spawn points isn’t always easy — especially if you’re trying to juggle progress on multiple badge objectives at once. Through careful planning, smart grouping, and strategic route choices, you can navigate through all five badge quests efficiently, and carve your name into the event’s elite once Spectra appears in your garage.
Short answer: Complete five Halloween badges during the Halloween event – after all five badge objectives finish, the Spectra unlocks automatically in your garage.
How to get the Spectra car – The five badge requirements
You must complete all five of these Halloween badge tasks to unlock Spectra:
- Defeat 150 skeleton mutants (inside Halloween portals).
- Trick-or-treat 40 times (ring doorbells at sloped-roof houses that spawn along the route).
- Place 20 mutants into graves (carry defeated mutants and drop them into graves that spawn).
- Drive 25,000 meters in the Monster Machine (distance travelled while using the Monster Machine vehicle).
- Travel through a portal 50 times (use the Halloween/teleport portals; each teleport adds to this count).
You can complete these in any order. After the five badges register as complete, Spectra appears in your garage automatically. If you want to check badge progress, talk to the Halloween NPC (Jason) in the event area and open “View Halloween Badges.”
Detailed tips and efficient routes (to finish faster) and get Spectra car
1) Defeat 150 skeleton mutants
- Halloween portals typically appear near the ~1,240–1,250 m mark on the route; enter these to find skeleton waves. Bring good weapons and ammo. Group up with friends to clear waves faster.
2) Trick-or-treat 40 times
- Houses spawn randomly along the map; the specific sloped-roof house is the one that counts. Drive slowly through areas with clusters of buildings and ring doorbells repeatedly — each successful door interaction = 1 progress. This one is RNG-heavy, so be patient and combine runs with other tasks.
3) Place 20 mutants into graves
- After defeating mutants, attach/carry the mutant body to your car (or carry manually) and look for graves scattered across the map. Drop the mutant into a grave to register progress. Graves spawn at random locations, so keep an eye out while driving. Doing this during runs that also target skeleton waves saves time.
4) Drive 25,000 m in the Monster Machine
- You must own/use the Monster Machine vehicle for distance to count. The Monster Machine is obtainable from the Halloween pass for 7,500 candies (so you’ll need to collect candies first). If friends have the vehicle you can ride with them and still earn distance — check in-game if co-drive counts for both players on your server. Long, uninterrupted desert runs are the fastest way.
5) Travel through a portal 50 times
- Portals are the teleport points (same portals where skeletons spawn). Re-entering portals and teleporting counts. If you’re farming skeletons, this will progress naturally.
Spectra – what to expect (performance / where it appears)
- Once unlocked the Spectra is placed in your garage automatically. If it doesn’t show immediately: relog, check other servers, and verify badge completion in Jason’s menu.
- Community-tested performance figures (approximate): top speed ≈ 151–152 km/h, solid acceleration and handling for a free event car, and generally good fuel efficiency compared with some other vehicles. (Values vary slightly by source/player tests.)
Quick grind route (one-session plan)
- Buy or coordinate to use a Monster Machine (buy requires 7,500 candy).
- Start a long solo or friend run focusing on roads with many houses (work on trick-or-treat) while driving Monster Machine (distance progress).
- Stop at the ~1,240–1,250 m portal(s) to clear skeleton waves (adds to skeleton and portal counts).
- After killing mutants, load them into your car and drop into graves you pass (graves are random; keep scanning).
- Repeat runs until all five badge counters are full — check progress with Jason.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
- I completed badges but Spectra isn’t in my garage. Log out/in, try a different server, verify all five objectives show as complete in Jason’s badge menu. If still missing, screenshots and reporting to the game devs (Discord/roblox page) helps.
- Can I co-op and still get progress? Yes — many badges (distance, portal entries, and kills) register for each player independently; group play speeds things up. Sources report that riding with someone in a Monster Machine can still count progress.
