This expansion is due to the vision and demand by Congregation and community families who want to have their children at The Gordon School through all stages of their education.

In 1986, Beth David Congregant Arlene Zakarin helped establish an early childhood center for toddlers and preschoolers at Beth David. That year, 10 families enrolled their children into the new Beth David program. By the following year, the school tripled in size from one class to three. As the school continued to grow, so did our need for more space. And in 1989, the generosity of Norma and Sammy Gordon made possible the renovation of three additional classrooms, a new kitchen and a lunchroom. The Gordon Family chose to pay tribute to Sam’s father, Robert J. Gordon and that year, the school was renamed The Gordon School of Beth David Congregation.

Score Academy is the accredited K-12 private school within Score At The Top Learning Centers, which have been family owned and operated since 1980, when Judi Robinovitz, Certified Educational Planner, started the first Learning Center in New Jersey.

When Judi moved to Florida in 1992, she opened Score At The Top Learning Center in Vero Beach. The center was designed to provide students and their families with academic support and guidance beyond what was available in local schools. Over time, we encountered a population of students whose needs were not being met in a traditional school environment. Many of these students were utilizing our Learning Center for far more than tutoring.
