Conjoined twin influencers José Luis and José Armando Cevallos have died at 27 after José Luis suffered cardiac arrest and his brother suffered a heart attack shortly afterward.
The brothers, who were from Ecuador, died on October 15, 2026, while receiving medical treatment in Colombia.
Known online as the ‘Siameses del Ecuador,’ the pair had amassed over 60,000 Instagram followers by documenting their daily lives, answering questions about being conjoined twins, and sharing their experiences with fans.
According to People, the brothers had been receiving treatment in Colombia to improve their mobility, with the goal of eventually being able to walk independently.

Speaking to Spanish television program Y Ahora Sonsoles, close friend Fernando Carrillo revealed that José Luis initially began feeling unwell and experienced nausea.
Those around him initially suspected a virus, but the brothers were eventually taken to a hospital, where José Luis suffered cardiac arrest.
Doctors managed to stabilize him, but José Armando suffered a heart attack shortly afterward, resulting in both brothers’ deaths.
The twins were born joined at the torso and shared organs, including their liver and intestines. Although separation surgery was considered, doctors reportedly determined that the procedure would be too dangerous.
Their deaths were announced on Instagram by their social media team, which paid tribute to the brothers and thanked supporters for helping them achieve their dreams.
“Their joy, their story, and the love they sowed will remain in our hearts forever,” the statement read, translated from Spanish.
The team added that the brothers had been happy pursuing their goals and requested privacy for their grieving family.
Their brother, Damián, also spoke about the loss, revealing that their parents were devastated by the news.
Just three days before their deaths, on October 12, the twins had shared a video showing them loading a car together.
Their deaths come after influencer Michiel Vandeweert died at 28, having spent years documenting his life with a rare rapid-aging disorder on social media.
The twins’ social media team concluded its tribute by recalling the brothers’ message that determination could overcome barriers and that disability was no obstacle to happiness.
