Viral boy band Boy Throb has performed with all four members together for the first time after Darshan Magdum finally arrived in the United States.
The group began posting videos in October 2025, with Anthony Key, Evan Papier and Zachary Sobania performing in matching pink tracksuits while Magdum joined remotely from India. Bringing their fourth member to America became central to their videos, which mixed pop covers with appeals for help supporting his visa application.
Magdum’s visa was approved in August, but October 16 marked another milestone: the first time all four members met in person. They celebrated with a free “Darshan Day” event at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Darshan Day ends Boy Throb’s year-long wait
The band made its first live appearance as a complete four-piece at the mall, replacing the video calls and cardboard cutouts that had previously represented Magdum during performances.
Boy Throb’s official arrival livestream followed his journey from the airport to American Dream, where the group had announced they would perform their new single “4gether” in person for the first time.
One attendee, posting an account of the event on Reddit, described Key lifting Magdum into a hug and spinning him around when he appeared. Other fans following the arrival online celebrated finally seeing him in America after months of updates.
Getting to that point required more than reaching the band’s original goal of one million followers. According to NPR, immigration officials requested additional evidence supporting Magdum’s application for an O-1B work visa for artists and entertainers with extraordinary ability.
The group subsequently staged live shows with Magdum appearing remotely and collaborated with Kesha on “DJ Turn It Down.” That collaboration was included in their response to the government’s request for evidence.
Speaking to NPR in August about coming to America, Magdum said: “I’m just, like, so excited for everything. I just want to meet every single person.”
Their unusual setup also fueled speculation that Boy Throb was an elaborate internet stunt, including theories linking them to comedian Nathan Fielder. The members have repeatedly maintained that their musical ambitions are real.
With Magdum now in the country, Boy Throb has announced plans to travel together and meet more of the audience that followed his journey.
“We’re hitting the road to show Darshan America and to MEET YOU!” the band wrote in an Instagram announcement, directing fans to sign up for updates about their stops.
