Amazon has unveiled a new AI-powered wristband that listens to conversations and remembers important details, allowing users to revisit discussions, create reminders, and keep track of everyday tasks.
The device, called Bee Frontier, is part of Amazon’s expanding lineup of personal AI products designed to help people remember information without having to take notes themselves.
Alongside the wristband, Amazon also announced Bee Eclipse, a magnetic accessory that attaches to the back of a smartphone and offers similar features.
Amazon’s new AI wristband remembers conversations for you
Bee Frontier can be worn on the wrist or clipped onto clothing, using two microphones with noise filtering to capture conversations and identify important information.
For example, if someone discusses dinner plans with a friend, schedules a meeting, or mentions something they need to buy, the device can remember those details and turn them into reminders or to-do lists.
Users can access conversation summaries through the Bee mobile app or a new desktop application, which also provides insights based on previous discussions.
The wristband offers up to seven days of battery life, IP67 water resistance, and USB-C charging. It comes in three colors: Lavender, Sage, and Onyx.
Amazon’s second device, Bee Eclipse, offers the same conversation-tracking features in a different form factor. The credit card-sized accessory attaches magnetically to the back of a phone and provides more than 21 days of battery life.
Both devices can also connect to Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook, allowing users to generate follow-up emails, create calendar invitations, and organize tasks based on conversations.
Amazon is also introducing integrations with Alexa+ and its online store.
Connecting Bee to Alexa+ allows users to ask their Echo devices about previous conversations, including meeting summaries, reminders, and recommendations from friends.
Meanwhile, connecting Bee to Amazon.com enables personalized shopping recommendations based on products mentioned during conversations.
For example, if someone mentions needing dish soap or discusses a product they want to purchase, Bee can surface relevant recommendations on Amazon’s homepage or inside its apps. These integrations are optional and require a Bee Pro subscription.
AmazonAmazon says both devices are designed with privacy protections, including a physical button to activate or deactivate audio processing and a visible light that indicates when the microphone is active.
According to the company, audio is processed in real time and deleted rather than stored. Transcripts are encrypted, and users can delete their conversation histories and summaries whenever they choose.
Amazon also says its Bee Private Compute system prevents anyone, including Amazon itself, from accessing users’ private data.
Bee Frontier is available now for $74.99, while Bee Eclipse will launch at a later date starting at $99.99. Both devices include conversation summaries and 14 days of memory at no additional cost.
However, additional features such as Alexa+ integration, Amazon shopping recommendations, third-party app connections, and unlimited recent conversation summaries require Bee Pro, which costs $11.99 per month.
Amazon has continued expanding its use of AI across its products and services in recent months.
Earlier in October, Amazon-owned Audible unveiled three new AI-powered features, including one that will allow listeners to have real-time conversations with characters from their favorite audiobooks.
